((This is based after Katara meeting Chan, and on an island))
Ken walked about in the area, trying to get famili r with the surroundings, it was like a island here, propably not a charted one either, he then heard a soothing noise, he grinned
"Waterfall..." he said lightly, and turned the corner, and there is stood in all its glory, about a 200 ft waterfall, He grinned the more broader, before dropping his bag and big bottle from his bag, He took off his shirt and dropped it with his items, a blue band was also attached to the upper of his right arm, and a brown one attached to the lower bit of the arm of his left arm, All muscly and toned too, He then procedded to wrap ater around his waist like an ocotopuss and lifted up into the air, then proceeded to the middle of the small lake where the waterfal resided, he made the vine of water crawl down to his legs and make a platform
he made it into ice before proceeding, Pulling it up two stream like water appeared, he made it all twirl around him in a soft motion, And it was still connectd to the water!, He made the water reverse and go back into the water, time for The real stuff, he brought up a large amount of water behind him like a tsunami
"Lunar Tsunami" ken shouted, making the tsunami proceeed, and making a small archway so that he didn't get wet, it passed over him, Before going back into the water, as it finished it rippled lightly, He then brought up all his strength, And put all his concenration ahead, He brought up a massive bubble of water, And cutting it into three sections
like a ring it was cut into three peices, and they changed substance, one was a massive block, solid to the brim, one did not change at all, and the last steamed like a cold dragonbreath, He then dropped it down and sat down, breathing, He quickly tood up and made the ice turn back into water, using one arm a line of water rose up, He began walking along this thin line of water till he reached the end
He quickly grabbed his stuff, and put on his shirt, before sitting down

((OOC: Ummm I guess we can say we stopped real quick at an island on our way to the southern tribe area because it isn't til we arrive there that I meet Chan lol.))
Katara had waited for the others to become entrenched in conversation before slipping away to think and perhaps work on her bending. If she was to be any help at all to Aang she would need to practice whenever possible. Luckily the water bender stumbled onto a small alcove that was filled with huge willows and varies species of healing plants. She peered over the nearby cliff to find where the crystal clear water from a rather large stream flowed and thundered down the ragged mountain side to a huge pool far below. Katara’s baby blue’s widened when she saw the stranger Aang had called Ken removing his cloths.
Embarrassed at the thought of intruding upon the young man’s bathing, she began to work her way back up the path but the movement below caught her attention…stopping her in her tracks. The Novice bender’s eyes were soon riveted as the boy pulled the liquid upward to wrap around his waist and form large tentacles that lifted into the air. Shortly after, the water below him turn to ice and then back to it’s more fluid form.
Katara’s eyes popped open wide when the obviously far more skilled bender swept a wall of water behind him shouting, "Lunar Tsunami" Once he was finished and moving away, the young girl lifted her hands upward to try and mimic his previous movements. A light of excitement shown in her eyes as the water moved upward much like her unknown instructors'.
“Lunar Tsunami!“ Kataara said quietly. Unfortunately, when the water rushed forward, she hadn’t been able to separate the liquids force and the bender found herself swept over the precipice toward the pool below.
"Ahhh" the scream slipped instinctively out as she spun her arms about to try and pull the water from the pool upward.

Ken was quietly running two fingers Ran along his arm when a periciNg scream was heard, He only heard it because of his distance between the figure and himself, He jumped up and turned around, moving out of reaction he drew up a big bubble of water, Knowning it would hurt even more if she collided it, He split it in two and as the young watertribe girl fel betwen the two he calmly put the two seperate bubbles together, thus not hurting the peron, He drew it down to the water quickly, Landing like jelly the water moved, he made a patch of ice Over the blob, before letting the Bubble fall away, He began running over there, making a motion making the water turn to ice like a path, he crossed it and pulled up the person, He carried her by his arm over her shoulder
Once they reached the solid ground he lifted up her Face slightly to check for vital signs, it was the water tribe girl, Katara
"You should watch where you step on the mountains, Most of the edging around it is unstable" he said calmly checking for wounds, Luckily there was none, unless if you count terror and shock

Wind whistled past Katara’s ears and chilled her damp skin as she fell. Her hands had just begun to move with the intention of raising the water upward to catch her but the force of the air sent them askew. Before the water bender knew what was happening, she felt a strange silky substance envelope her and slow her descent until eventually landing with a soft splash atop the pale blue pool. Peering wide eyed through the opaque ball that now surrounded her, Katara saw Ken racing sure footed across a the icy bridge he was creating and below her feet just as the bubble disitegrated.
The young girl laid a bit disoriented as the muscular young man pulled her up from the ground, hefted her with one arm over his shoulder and carried her to a soft grassy area where he gently set her down. She blinked a few times when he lifted her chin and pressed on her throat.
"You should watch where you step on the mountains, Most of the edging around it is unstable" he said calmly checking for wounds, Luckily there was none, unless if you count terror and shock
She sat on the grass trying to catch her breath but her equilibrium was still askew not so much due to the fall but more the young man’s actions.
“Ah…r r right…darn c c cr crumbly edgesssss” she huskily chittered as her body reacted to her damp cloths and chilling drop not to mention the ice she’d touched along her ordeal. ‘I am so glad he didn’t see me trying to mimicked his bending….oh thank you Moon Goddess. '
“You’re right of course. I should have been far more c c careful. Th ..th thank you f f for helping m m me.” Katara added embarrassed beyond all measure. She tried to get up but found her legs were still too shaky to bear her weight. Giving him a slightly blue lipped smile she continued, “P p please don’t l l let me keep you from heading back. I I’lll be fine…really. Just ne need a few minutes to w warm up.”

He smiled at her outburst, He moved back a few feet, and retracted the water from her clothing, and putting it back into the stream of a lake, He took a few sticks and put them together, Before putting them alight with matches, He moved her lightyly to where he was sitting, where is was the most warmest
"And no problem by the way." he replied to her before question, As the fire cackled he put on some more sticks nearby
"What where you doing up there in the first place?...." Ken said to her, Withoutlooking at her, Eye's locking onto the fire, Watching it cackle, he flames flicker, and then he looked up at Katara, A smile upon his lips, for no apparent reason
"Maybe i should stay with Aang and you for a while, You both look as you need waterbending training"

Feeling like a wet pup that had been pulled from a river, Katara pushed back a few strands of hair that had fallen into her face and peeked up to find the older boy smiling down at her. He took a few steps back and waved his hands in a familiar motion. The water from her dress flew upward like a spout from a whale back into the rippling pool. ‘I’m so STUPID!! I know how to do that!’ she thought with a short shake of her head. ‘Must have lost my senses on the way down’ While chastising herself, the novice was oblivious to Ken starting a fire and was caught unawares when he lifted her slightly and moved her closer to the growing fire.
"And no problem by the way." Ken replied to her before question, As the fire cackled he put on some more sticks nearby
Katara held her hands a bit closer to the flames enjoying the warmth. “Hmmmm… thanks. I feel so silly! I could have pulled the water from my clothes but..I guess I was so distracted that I …didn’t think.” she sighed her cheeks turning a bit pink.
"What where you doing up there in the first place?...." Ken said to her,
“Oh …um…“ the soggy brunette began while peeking over at her rescuer and sighed with relief to find him staring into the fire. “I was following the stream…” ’Okay that’s true enough' She thought before grudgingly continuing, “And I tried to do a little bending.” Katara ended with a small groan that quickly became a cough when he smiled over at her.
"Maybe i should stay with Aang and you for a while, You both look as you need water bending training."
“I guess it might be safer for everyone if you did.“ She replied with a small chuckle her lips turning upward. The pretty young girl looked down at the glowing coals in thoughtful meditation. “I want to apologize for being a bit standoffish. Truth is…I’m a bit jealous of you. I wanted to be the one to help Aang learn water bending but after what happened at the temple with Prince Zuko.” Her voice turned venomous when she spoke of the Prince. “ I knew that I wasn’t skilled enough to help him and well..I felt useless …a failure. Then you came along knowing so much…” the girl continued to look at the flames her cheeks now nearly as red as the cinders now glowing beneath the flames.

He chuckled at heer being slightly jeleous of him
"I don't blame you, if i was in that situation of being a bender of your status, I would feel the same", he said standing up
"i only had a head start, since i became a bender when i was a toddler, and here i ended up." he said in his normal tone, softness, he sat down next to her and wrapped a arm around her
"You are still quite young with no expirence, But that 20 year old man i knew, within two years he became a master, If you put your hear at it, It'd be easy, he put his soul into training, it's never too late for you" he said before moving back to his usual position, and an idea came to his head
"......Let's go..." He said, taking off his shirt, and letting the Water stream around him and take him over to the middle of the lake, He then made a large ice platform, he smiled at her
"Your not going to get any better by standing there" he said, making a small path for her to cross

Katara listened as the more experienced bender put his arm around her shoulder and told of his experiences as a toddler learning to bend. She’d been shown healing techniques as a child but not really how to defend…or fight with water.
Upon hearing of a twenty year old man’s success, her eyes sparkled with excitement for it made her hopes of helping Aang an actual possibility. The novice sat a bit taller as his pep talk lightened her once somber spirit.
"......Let's go..." He said Her mouth dropped open when Ken quickly took off his shirt and formed a funnel of water that carried him to the center of the small pool to stand on a large circle of ice. The handsome young man then created a bridge of ice so that she could make her way across, "You’re not going to get any better by standing there!"
Azure eyes closed halfway in deep concentration while giving him a dimpled grin. His friendly challenge reminded her of the games of sibling rivalry she’d play with Sokka; Her favorite being their infamous snow ball battles. Refusing his use of the ice bridge, Katara ran forward onto the water her hands sweeping from her waist upward causing a wave to carry her across the pool which she sent circling around his small island of ice. The focused young girl flicked her wrist sending spout of water toward his chest in an attempt to push him off the slippery surface.

" i guess i'l go easy on you" he said at that moment, a spout of water hit him in the chest, he grinned
"Forget my last comment" he said, before making the circe island much larger,
"First lesson, Hand to hand combat, You can't always rely on your waterbending, You will someonetimes have to use your hands, or swords" He said, jumping up onto the wave, and standing still as the wave carried him along, he rose a hand in a palm way, And made a motion as if he was hitting someone behind her, and jumping back onto the ice, He rose up two vine of water, and sent them after her.

Katara gave a small chuckle at his statement on taking it easy and then refuting it as the water she’d sent solidly hit his chest. Her lips went slightly askew in disappointment when his feet remained firmly planted on the sheet of ice which now grew even larger.
"First lesson, Hand to hand combat, You can't always rely on your water bending, You will someone times have to use your hands, or swords" He said
The novice bit her bottom lip as she focused on the other bender’s ease of movement which further exhibited his skills. Mimicking his body form, Katara rode her wave, with her hands now held close to her body. Her brows furrowed in confusion when his palm rose upward in a shoving motion wondering at his intent.
The next thing she knew, two vines of water were whirling their way towards her. ‘What do I do?’ she thought ducking and swerving her mind racing quickly to find a solution. On her last turn around the ice, she made a sweeping movement with her right hand, sending a wave of water upward before spinning her hand and making small jerking movements. The water from her wave broke into smaller 'blades’ of water which sliced the vine like tubes, sending them back into the pool.
Huffing now, not only from the exertion but the energy she was using to maintain the wave, she pondered an attack. Bright sky blue eyes sparkled as a plan formed in the pretty bender’s mind. As she passed near the now much large ice island, Katara touched the surface and concentrated hard on moving it back to it’s liquid state. She knew this skill was not one of her best, but believed it was her only solution. No sooner had she touched the ice when it did indeed begin to melt but only on the one side. Unbalanced, the ice began tilting upward in an effort to stabilize itself, sending a splash of water directly into her face…

Ken let the water melt, sending him higher up on the ice, he smirked
"Lesson two, Always use your enviroment to your advantage, i see you have not yet used the waterfall as a source"
the said before jumping up on the side of the ice, as one of the ends went under the water, he stood on the side and then brought up two more streams from the waterfall, sending them after using one hand and then came the catch, Usingh is other hand the water crawled up the sides of the waves and turned to ice
after that happened, he usedmosto f his concentration, usig the water she was standing on, he cancelled out her energy, but not fully, and he noticed she began sinking, and he then used his other hand to try and whip at her hands or legs, he began breathing heavily, this was extremely hard not to use all of his power as he was used to letting out extreme amounts of energy, and i was easy for him, The catch s he is trying to use a small bit, thus ending up wasting more energy trying to keep his full energy from exposing
"Using too little energy" he mumbled to himself he looked back at katara, before closing his hands and focusing on his bending

((OOC: I had a bit of trouble visualizing this so if I went astray just give me further input!! Thanks!!))
"Cahh ... cahh.. pluft..” Katara coughed and spat the water from her mouth while her instructor gave her a teasing grin.
"Lesson two, Always use your enviroment to your advantage, i see you have not yet used the waterfall as a source"
A rush of activity followed to which the young girl struggled to take in and react. Streams from the water fall came rushing at her just as the wave beneath her feet lowered slighty to mere inches above the chilly pool.
In the next instant, she felt a rope of water wrapping about her legs. Katara gave a short growl before closing her eyes and focusing on the water beneath her. She soon felt the wave gush upward as a spout to throw her into the air. Once she had some distance between them, the beginner huffed aloud and pulled another spout up to catch her precarious form.
‘I’m so tired and ….his energy seems endless..’ Katara thought while she looked about as he’d said for some nearby advantage. With a wobbly pirouette, she pulled two ropes of water from the waterfall and sent them toward Ken from opposite directions in the hope of trapping him between the two when she turned it to ice.

((So sorry i didn't Post <3!!!!, And Gratz on Mod, Btw))
Ken looked straight at Katara, Not noticing The Two vine like water approaching, he aw something out the corner of his eye, he made the two Vines of water curl around him in a circle, And made a cacoon/Hive like Sheild around him, And after that He sent the water on the outside in small streams of whips, The sheilding attack ^^
((Extremely sorry it's so short, Lost my muse/Writers block))

((Hey Ken …you post when you can bud!! We all get writer’s block!! Thanks on the Gratz!!! ))
A slow smile rose to Katara’s lips as their eyes met and she waited in anticipation for the two long tunnels of water to reach her new teacher. Just when she was about to freeze them, they swiveled about Ken’s body and she realized that she was no longer controlling them. The young girl frowned and gave a sigh in disappointment before inching ever closer to the strange shell that now protected him. Before she knew what was happening, small rivulets of water spouted like whips; two actually grabbing hold of her right hand and left foot.
Shaking her head at being so easily drawn into the trap, she struggled to pull enough water up to break those which now held her bound.

Ken looked up at her as she bound out of er grip, he sighed before dropping it, He scuffed his foot hard and everything turned to ice, Including e wave she was on
"I'm sorry, 'training' is Over, I'm just slightly tired, and plus i have to use more energy, Since i'm used to releasing a powerfull amount of water, it's more tiring to go easy on someone" he said urbbing the back of his head with a shy chuckle
"I think we should get back now, They might begin looking for us"
