A storm was moving in, though it was milder than what Chantrea had been through up North. She barely felt the cold air, her time in the Spirit Realm had brought that warmth with her. The snow around her was crunching beneath her feet, which were covered in the traditional winter wear unique to the Northern and Southern Water Tribes. Though she'd met a few other people who had worn leaves and straw hats. . . swamp dwellers.
Shaking back the long mane of silver hair, which color mimicked the purest moonlight, the sixteen year old waterbender walked without reason, through the softly drifting snow falling from the heavens before. The ground was still littered with the snowy ash that had been shed by the Fire Nation raid earlier that week. She'd foreseen the raid, along with a certain airbender arrival, nearly two years ago in the hot lands she'd lived in for twelve years.
Finding no place to sit down and rest, Chantrea sighed the breath she hadn't realized she'd been holding. The harsh bite of the cold air nipped at her nose and lungs and she pulled her blue clothing tighter around her. She didn't want to stand out TOO much, and her normal black jacket (though much warmer), would have made her stand out like a brutal scene out of a horror flick. Raising both hands and stomping down her right foot, in a way she'd watched her spirit guardians show her several months ago, a solid bench of ice shuddered with a loud crack out of the snowy tundra.
Chantrea sat gratefully. The three invisible orbs surrounded her, warmth emitting in waves that had her tugging lightly on the thick fur collar around her neck and wrists. She often disliked the sudden comfort she was given, but there was nothing she could ever do about it. Scooping up a handful of firm snow, Chantrea formed it into a transparent sheet of ice, harder around the edges and direct center. She looked into it, tilting her head.
Who was that? She leaned forward, closer to the ice, to see a brown haired teen approaching in the near future. Leaning against the thick slab of snow formed as a backrest to the bench of solid, cold water, Chantrea didn't notice the same girl she'd seen in the ice approaching hesitantly from the side. Then she saw a male who was a little taller than the girl, holding his head in what looked like pain. He was moving his mouth animatedly, in a manner that looked to be complaining. She quickly melted the ice and distracted herself by picking at the hot clothes she wore.

The large bison groaned as he flew through the icy air of the South Pole. It had been just a little while since they left the Southern Air Temple and it was way too cold up so high in the sky. Aang pulled on Appa's reins and he began to descend down to the snowy wilderness that was beneath them. "Appa's getting tired from flying through this cold, we'll have to walk!" he called back to the others who were sitting in the sky bison's saddle. He knew that they wouldn't be happy with the idea but they really had no choice.
Finally landing on the snowy ground, Appa let out a small roar and the Avatar jumped off of him and started to walk through the snow. His friends had also begun to walk beside and behind him, though he didn't bother to listen to their complaints.. if they had any, that is.
Aang continued to walk through the snow, he pressed his hand against Appa's fur as he walked in an attempt to keep warm. He was surprised to see a figure in the distance. Whoever it was, they weren't too far away from her.

[OOC:Hope me having her think you are the Moon goddess is okay Chan. If not tag me and I'll change things.]
No sooner had the Bison’s six feet touched the snow with a crunch and thud than Katara slid down Appa’s furry round tummy to the ground
“Thanks Appa” she said with a gentle pat before following after Aang. She stood for a moment and watched the flying lemur soar above the Avatar’s head before dropping to the frozen ground. The small creature then began routing through the hardened ice crystals like a pirate greedily seeking booty.
‘Aang seems to have another new friend.’ Katara thought the corner’s of her lips rising upward at the sight. She quickly oted how both animals blended into their frozen surroundings.
Now dressed in her fur lined blue coat, typical of the Northern tribes, the young water bender moved easily across the familiar terrain ..the sound of crunching feet breaking the eerie silence. Every now and again the brunette would scan the area to make certain everyone was near at hand before drifting off into her innermost thoughts.
“Crunch…crunch..crunch..” A puff of breath followed each exhale that nearly kept pace with her steps.
When she lifted her head to do her normal check, she noticed what appeared to be someone sitting in the middle of the open tundra with fluttering lacey flakes fluttering slowly downward.
“That’s strange..” she murmured before covering her brow with her right hand to keep the icy crystals from clinging to her lashes and bluring her vision. Katara eyes widened at seeing the same shimmering pale hair that she’d seen the previous night. ‘Has she returned to show me what I need to do?‘ she contemplated the Moon Godess need to reveal herself in the light of day. 'Something must be terribly wrong’ she surmised as her pace quickly moved from a jog to an open run.
“Moon Goddess!“ The brunette called out her voice echoing through the frigid air. Katara was breathing hard when she reached the opening but suddenly jerked to a stop at finding only a young girl . The unusual looking stranger, nearly her age, was sitting on a large slab of ice staring down at something that rested in her lap. “Huff ..huff..huff..oh ..I thought…” she began her tan cheeks turning rosy in embarrassment.

By the time that Chantrea had actually bothered to create another sheet of the translucent ice, she hadn’t noticed Aang or Katara. In fact, she was so deep in thought, she hadn’t even noticed the huge fluffy sky bison land only meters away from the snow haired teen. She was too focused on the blank sheet in her hands to really care about anything else. The image began to form again, and she spotted a curious figure, closer before than he’d been moments before. Her brows furrowed and she looked up sharply as someone, the girl she’d seen in the paper thin solidified water, called to her. Moon Goddess?
Though Chantrea had never really met the Moon Goddess, she’d heard of her, of course, through her twelve years in the spirit realm, and had quietly pondered if she would ever see her in person. The chances were slim, but now that she thought about it, she realized that she had been the only child born in the water tribes with silver hair. Princess Yue, up in the Northern Tribe, had, as far as she’d learned the history of the spirit realm, had been saved by the very goddess that Chantrea was now being called. Resting the ice in her lap, she didn’t dare let it melt for fear of someone discovering that she was, indeed, a waterbender.
The girl was brunette, the color contrasting sharply with the blue and white of the Tribal clothing and the snow that was slowly gaining weight and depth. Oh. . . I thought. . . The younger girl seemed lost for words. Chantrea’s eyes, just a few shades darker than her hair, were lit with cautious curiosity. Chantrea finally smiled at the girl and waved lightly, her cheeks becoming tinged with the lightest reds. “H-Hello. . . Ah. . . Sorry to disappoint you, but I’m not the Mood Goddess.”

Wide azure eyes stared, a dazed expression on her face, at the beautiful girl sitting like a queen on her shimmering throne. The bench glistened much like the girl’s silvery hair which was dusted with lace like flakes that continued to dance about them as if paying homage. Katara noticed a strange piece of ice lying on the girl's lap which appeared to be reflecting what little light poked through the heavy white puffy clouds upward.
Chantrea finally smiled at the girl and waved lightly, her cheeks becoming tinged with the lightest reds. “H-Hello. . . Ah. . . Sorry to disappoint you, but I’m not the Moon Goddess.”
Katara could feel the heat rushing up into her cheeks and she quickly glanced toward her feet in embarrassment. “I’m sorry…you just…looked so much like the woman in the stories I’ve heard as a child…and …your hair..” The water bender paused her eyes now taking in the paleness of the speaker’s eyes. “..it’s quite unusual.” ‘Ahhhh…how embarrassing!! But…she looks so much like the lady from my dream.’
Scanning the area, the water bender cleared her throat and returned to address the young woman. “ Hello. I’m Katara.“ She turned to point the two boys who'd followed after her. "This is Aang ... the Bison is Appa and ...” she pause for a moment to keep from laughing at the look on her brother’s face. “And that is my brother, Sokka. " Ken had taken gone off with Momo when they'd landed. " You’re kind of …out in the middle of nowhere by yourself. Did you get lost?”

A loud crash sounded from the large Bison. On the icy ground laid a tangles Sokka a mixture of ropes boomerangs and even a lantern wrap themselves around the awkward boy. Sokka looks up at the group with an odd grin. “Where did all this stuff come from?” He attempts to get up while talking. “Anyways I am” He trips over the long robe ties to his foot and somehow tied to Appa’s saddle still. “Anyways my name is Sokka and well uhh what are you doing out here. I‘m not gonna lie kinda creepy meeting you out here!” He manages to spit all of this out while trying to untangle himself from the mess.
Sokka crawls away from the heap smiling while still on hands and knees he reaches his right hand out for the girl to shake.

Chantrea looked the teen over before smiling, standing and brushing the snow and ice off of her clothes. "No, sorry, I'm not lost. I just--" Her attention was drawn towards the large creature that she hadn't really noticed before now to the loud crashing that came from behind it. Her skin paled deeply so she practically blended in with all the snow around her. Oh. . . my. . . God. . .
A soft whimper escaped her throat and she took a step back, almost ready to hide behind Katara. What was that thing?! No way that was a bison. Bison's were smaller and didn't have giant arrows on their heads. She had a large, unknown fear of creatures that were big enough to swallow her whole. With or without chewing. Thankfully, the brunette boy, Sokka, distracted her. She almost went to go help him, but the thought of getting even closer to the flying mammal was terrifying.
He spoke, and she was distracted even farther. She was creepy? She blinked in slight surprise. She could say the same thing to them. He held his hand out to her and she tugged her glove off and accepted his hand. Her porcelain skin against his copper flesh was not only startling in contrast of color, but also a contrast of body temperature. While his was warm, almost to the point of being hot, her's was colder than the ice and her skin was probably as stiff.
"I'm Chantrea. It's nice to meet you all." Though the kid with the arrow on his head hadn't introduced himself yet, she wouldn't intrude upon him.

"Katara, where are you--!" he started to call out as she suddenly began to dash towards the figure. They had quickly chased after her in an effort to catch up, luckilly she had stopped to talk with the mysterious girl and it gave them time to catch up with her.
Aang chuckled quietly as he watched Sokka get himself tied up and then as he made an effort to get out of the rope. He knelt on the ground and attempted to help Sokka out as he struggled with the mess. Somehow, the warrior was able to squirm his way out and crawl over to Chantrea, so the airbender got to his feet again and watched as the two waterbenders conversed.
"I'm Chantrea. It's nice to meet you all."
"I'm Aang!" he spoke up. When he noticed that the girl looked a bit frightened of the sky bison, he decided that he wanted to make sure her opinion about him changed. Afterall, he was a big fluffy creature, but he was more like a big fluffy cuddley creature. "Don't worry, Appa doesn't bite," he smiled at her and spoke with a reassuring tone. The bison let out a soft roaring sound as the boy finished his sentence. "... Appa says hi," he said while looking back at the bison.

Katara watched the moon-haired girl rise slowly from her frozen throne and brush the icy crystals from her coat. Her brows furrowed in confusion as she scanned the area to find nothing…no creature, ship or companion. ‘How did she get all the way out here by herself?’ Shaking her head at her childish behavior moments ago, she rose to her full height, her eyes locked suspiciously on the beautiful girl.
The water bender moved to follow after the other girl and quickly noticed her fearful reaction to the Bison. Just then a loud thump followed by clanking metal had her sweeping her gaze to find Sokka entangled in a mixture of rope, pans and the rest of their gear. Katara rolled her eyes and let out a slow drawn out sigh, “Soookkkaaa!!!” ‘It never fails. Every time a pretty girl comes anywhere near him, his mind turns to mush and he …becomes the ultimate klutz.'
She couldn’t stop the disgusted groan that escaped at seeing the enthralled expression on his face as he took the girl's pale hand into his own. “Oh brother..” the brunette muttered.
"Anyways my name is Sokka and well uhh what are you doing out here. I‘m not gonna lie kinda creepy meeting you out here!” 'At least he realizes that her being out in the middle of nowhere is particularly odd.' She watched as Aang came over to help Sokka out of his latest predicament.
"I'm Chantrea. It's nice to meet you all." 'Chantrea ..hmmm interesting name…‘ she thought waiting for the newcomer to tell them how she came to be on the northern most point of the Southern water tribe's tundra ...alone...
Always open and frendly to everyone, the air bender chirped in, "I’m Aang! Don't worry, Appa doesn't bite," he smiled at her and spoke with a reassuring tone. The bison let out a soft roaring sound as the boy finished his sentence. "... Appa says hi."
Slipping around the Snowy haired teen, Katara stepped up to the bison’t side and gave Appa a small hug. “He really is a sweetie…aren’t ya big boy?” The furry white beast gave a snort and rubbed back pulling a small giggle from the water bender. Glancing once more at the girl she'd mistaken for the Moon Goddess, Katara asked in a casual voice, “So …How did you arrive in the middle of the tundra …by yourself ?” While her tone seemed innocent, her bright blue eyes were ever wary.

((OoC: Since you were talking to my character, I thought I might as well post a reply right now. Sorry for the shortness.))
Though her heart still thudded heavily in chest, she forced a weak smile, brushing the bangs away from her eyes. Anyone would think that she was blind, but she wasn't. She could see. In more ways than one, she could see. They all seemed so kind to her, it was a surprise meeting anyone out here. She hadn't expected it. Usually she was alone and didn't like to be bothered, but she felt a warmth coming from these people. She wondered how many were benders. She knew that the girl was. She carried herself like one. Already Chantrea could see without her ice that Katara had great potential.
"I'm sorry for my rude reaction to. . . Appa. . ." Her lips twitched lightly at the name, it was adorable. She wasn't quite ready to face the massive creature just yet. "I didn't mean to be frightened, I've never seen such a large. . . bison." It was obvious that she still had some trouble understanding that he was in fact a bison.
"It is odd to see someone like me out here in the middle of nowhere, isn't it?" She laughed, rubbing the back of her neck lightly with a sheepish expression. "I just. . . I haven't been home in such a long time, I wanted to see how it turned out. It's nothing like the Northern Water Tribe."

Sokka stands up and stands tall. “Ok well we should prolly get out of here. Yah know? Well this aint exactly the best place to be hanging around” Sokka grins with an odd look. Sokka turns and walks towards Aapa and begins to crawl up to his back he turns his head towards Katara. “Are you coming?” He shakes his head in an unpleased way, and mumbles under his breath. “Blah blah blah stop in the middle of no where to have a chat. Blah blah blah”

"I'm sorry for my rude reaction to. . . Appa. . . I didn't mean to be frightened, I've never seen such a large. . . bison."
"That's okay!" the small boy piped up happily. It made sense that if no one's seen an airbender in a hundred years, that they also wouldn't have seen any sky bisons for a hundred years.
"It is odd to see someone like me out here in the middle of nowhere, isn't it? I just. . . I haven't been home in such a long time, I wanted to see how it turned out. It's nothing like the Northern Water Tribe."
The boy hadn't even realized that it was odd for someone to be out in the middle of no where like she was. But, he just shrugged that little detail off. "You've been to the North Pole!?!" he called out, practically in disbelief. She was so far away from it that it didn't seem possible, well, it wasn't like she had a sky bison or anything, how did she get around without one?
Without any warning at all, he jumped even closer to Chantrea and grabbed lightly onto her wrists. Moving her hands into the air, he looked at them closely. "Do you know any master waterbenders?? Are you a waterbender? What's the Northern Watertribe like? They have lots of waterbenders there, right?" Aang was buffeting the new girl with questions. He had spoken so fast that he barely paused in between each question.
“Ok well we should prolly get out of here. Yah know? Well this aint exactly the best place to be hanging around”
"I think Sokka's right..." he nodded after taking a large breath of air in. "We should probably leave here soon..."

Chantrea was grateful to Aang for understanding. However, when he started asking her all the questions, his gentle grip on her wrists suddenly felt like burning iron and she wanted desperately to step back. Aang was very kind, but Chantrea was the type to become uneasy very quickly, and it was obvious by her light cringe when he bombarded her with the questions. She answered them as best as she could.
"Yes, I spent the first years of my life there. I know one right off the top of my head." She hesitated. "Yes, I am a waterbender. . . The Northern Watertribe is very large, it's all made out of ice and snow and there's lovely canals full of fresh water." She laughed lightly. "Almost everyone there is a waterbender, but. . ." She frowned. Girls hadn't been allowed to use their bending for anything other than healing. Her gaze flickered to Katara. Would they know that? Probably not.
Chantrea's seemingly sightless eyes traveled to Sokka and her frown deepened. Stopping in the middle of nowhere to chat? She felt like she had done something wrong. She wished she wasn't so sensitive to other people and their words, it caused more trouble for her in the long run. Her eyes flickered back to Aang and she smiled in apology. "I'm sorry for holding you up. Sokka seems anxious to leave, and I'm sure you must be cold." His fingers were still locked around her wrists and she had too many manners to pull her hands away from him since he was just curious about her. Well, maybe not about her, more of the Northern Water Tribe itself.

With her head resting against the bison’s soft fleece, the water bender listened intently to the beautiful girl as she spoke of this desolate frozen tundra as home. Bright sky blue eyes widened in both avid interest and leeriness wondering exactly who this elegant stranger really was.. for anyone looking at her eccentric coloring could tell that she was …unusual.
…“It's nothing like the Northern Water Tribe." Chantrea said. Katara’s gaze locked onto the pale eyes of the newcomer. “You were...” The water bender words went unheard as Aang called out in stunned disbelief, “You've been to the North Pole!?!" She watched as the excited air bender reached forward to grab the girl’s hand and spout out questions one right after the other; all of which the brunette was herself interested in hearing.
“Are you coming?” Sokka shakes his head in an unpleased way, and mumbles under his breath. “Blah blah blah stop in the middle of no where to have a chat. Blah blah blah”
“Sokka!” Katara exclaimed at his open rudeness. “Just hold on a minute! “ she glared up at him while she gave Appa another rub behind the ear he snorted for attention.. “Ooo..k.k.kay ooo..kkkaayyy…” her voice shook a bit as he pushed her back just a tad with an innocent movement.
But before she could glean the answers to Aang’s inquery, the young avatar sucked in a gulp of air and agreed with her mumbling brother.
“Are you sure Appa’s had enough time to rest? “ she asked Aang just as the other girl began to speak. "Yes, I am a waterbender. . . The Northern Watertribe is very large, it's all made out of ice and snow and there's lovely canals full of fresh water." Chantrea laughed lightly. "Almost everyone there is a waterbender, but. . ."
“There nearly ALL water benders?” she breathed in total surprise and tilted her head to listen to the other girl describe just a glimpse of what the Northern Tribes were like. ‘What is a Northern waterbender doing here?’ she thought her bottom lip now being tugged at between her teeth.
At hearing her reaction to her brother’s grumbling, Katara moved to stand once more by Aang’s side. “Don’t mind my brother…he’s anxious to leave so we can find a place that has a warm bed and some food..” There was a teasing tone in her voice as she spoke.
“It is cold here though…I mean..” the girl scanned the area once more. “Is there someone coming to get you soon? Aang…it isn’t right for us to leave her here…all alone.” No matter how uneasy the girl made Katara feel, she was of the Water Nation and seemed to be in some need of their help. “Can Appa carry all of us ..at least so that we can take Chantrea to a safer location?” She paused to look behind Appa’s rather large form. “Where did Momo and Ken get to?”

“Ok fine!” Sokka yells out as if they were all asking him a question. “The girl can come with us! Let’s just get out of here….. You knout we have a schedule and I would like to keep it on track.” Sokka pulls out a map and begins mumbling to himself. “Wonder where this girl wants us to drop her off. Better not be too far out of the way.”
