The water bender’s attention was focused entirely on the new danger which had come charging past the unsuspecting musician and toward their present position. She was holding her breath in anticipation in the hopes that the large beast’s charge would be brought to a halt by her bolt for their tusks were known to kill many a inexperienced hunter let alone an innocent bard. Avy watched in amazement as the young person pulled the katana from their belt but did not release the blade. ’What’s he doing? Is he crazy? The boar will tear him to pieces?’
Giving a quick glance over her shoulder, she could see that Kyakou was reluctant to use his blade in fear of hurting the musician. The runaway had been about to loose another bolt when she saw the young person weild the closed weapon with great speed and agility. In two short rapid strokes, the animal was brought quickly to the ground. Wide aqua eyes stared in amazement at the boar and then to the strange golden haired boy. His gender now revealed by his physique and features not to mention the garments which he wore. Of course, she of all people knew that the coverings were not much to judge such things. Avy breathed a sigh of relief and turned to give her friend a small smile before shifting back to greet the traveler . She wove her way through the undergrowth to his side as he slipped his sword back to his waist. “Hello. ..I’ve never seen…” she started but was soon pulling back a step at the boy’s words.
Total confusion had the girl opening her mouth and closing it quickly before looking down at the unmoving animal. Her eyes lifted to meet the boy’s gray purple while nervously licking her lips, “I don’t see the need to heal the animal. My friend and I were hunting and this large boar will help feed many. ”

"Help feed many?" He questioned with a stranged sorted confusement that matched the females tone, as though he did not understand the words she spoke, the meaning of the words, and the intent laid within them. "Heh...." He thought for a moment, awaiting her to simply burst out and say she wa sjoking, and this was of course, completely obvious to all, as his facial expression seemed co-dependent upon her words which she spoke. However after the few moments ceased, his expression faded into a newly found coherent one, filled as though the world was with wonders of beauty, and of horrid creatures: Complete obscurred anger crowded within a single mind.
"You are serouis then? You'd take a life of a creature undeserving, rather than eat vegetables? I could understand, had this of been an animal whom might of commited a crime, such as eating your food or killing your young, or..." He pondered his next words, choosing them with a careful anticipation, gripping the katana tighter. He was now considering the fact that no matter what, these people planned on quickly ending this boars life and taking the meat as prize. "you will take this meat which you've not the ability to even slay with the arrow? You've tried your shot, you failed, I had to knock this boar out so he musn't feel pain....He is mine. If you desire to strike him down, however, I will fight you, and I will not lose." His words were arrogant, yes, but well placed.
Stepping forth he brought the sheathed katana forth and acted as a guardian to the boar. He had the medicines to heal the coar, but it would take more time to do so, three days to nurse him back from the bolt, which did not do as much damage as Reita had thought at first. "Please..." He muttered; although he didn't wish to fight these people, he would if it meant protecting natures beauty, the life and rythem of his songs, the soul of his poems.

Kyakou stood nearly dazed after regaining his awareness of what was going on around him. Being lifted up like that definitely threw him off. Perhaps with practice later, he would learn to enjoy it and maybe even not get so sick from the awkward feeling. His stomach churned ever so slightly as he continued to blink his eyes at the glaring sun that shined down through the canopies of growth. He could barely get a handle on the situation for a moment before hearing the rustle of equipment and whiz of an arrow bolt. In a blink of an eye he watched as a heavy boar hit the ground only feet before them.
Once again his emerald eyes blinked in disbelief before glancing to Avelen and then to the mysterious musician. He quickly realized that the two were debating over the value of life of the creature. Well he could certainly see their position, however their newly found musician seemed to have other ideas. The next thing the white-haired boy noticed was the movement of the musician and his weapon. The sword sheath caught his eyes as he flicked his head to the side and broke out of the trance he was in. In an instant he stepped in front of Avelen, hand behind him ready to draw out his weapon in case the musician before them made an aggressive move.
Although by the sound of his voice he didn't seem to show any intention of harm, it was clear he was intent on his position. The boar lay dying behind the musician as the time passed. "Don't even raise your blade or I'll disarm you within a matter of seconds." He muttered coldly. He wouldn't let his friend ever be put into danger, not after what she had done for him. Cared for him. Talked to him. Accepted him for who he was. "I won't be surprised if the rest of our group comes up here as well. They need the food." His eyes wandered to the side as he heard some voices below them in the distance. Their group was off hunting somewhere and it seemed they were growing closer to perhaps check up on the couple that decided to wander away for a moment.

Avy had been looking down at the still beast when the musician spoke once more. Her taupe brows furrowed as she tried to understand his desire to save a creature which had just been charging at them. “I..I don’t understand. You want to save the animal?” she asked in confusion and then turned to give a questioning look to Kyakou. The agitation in the stranger’s voice grew as he went on with passion about saving the boar’s life. The water bender‘s aqua eyes opened wide when the young man proudly proclaimed that he was even willing to fight should they try to take the animal.
She instinctively took a step backwards and bumped into her friend. The next thing she knew, Kyakou had moved in front of her ..his hand instantly reaching for the hilt of his own blade. At hearing the coldness in his voice, she inhaled sharply. Avy’s heart pounded in her chest as she reflected on how wonderful their day had been just moments ago and now they were faced once more by a new threat.
When Kyakou pointed out that their friends were coming, the auburn haired girl tilted her head and listened to the brush of multiple foot falls approaching. ‘I don't want Kyakou to get hurt…’ she thought while gently placing her hand on his tense shoulder. “Look..we have a difference of opinion but ..fighting isn’t the answer. “ She paused to look at the injured creature before meeting the blond boy’s gaze. “We’re hunting because most of the crops and grains have either been burned or stolen by the Fire Nation. Many of the villagers were injured and their homes destroyed. We needed to find food quickly. If the boar means this much to you, you can keep him.” Her soft voice drifted off into an uncomfortable silence.
