“Oh. We were just playing airball!" Aang laughed. The airbender hopped up to the ledge that had been overlooking the airball field and he looked down at Sokka assuming he would follow.
“Airball? How do you play thhhaaattt…” She began but was cut short as Aang grabbed her wrist with both hands and began pulling her toward an unexplored area of the temple.
Giving Sokka a puzzled parting look, Katara stumbled along behind the small boy. “Ahhh ..sure Aang.” She said breathlessly .
"That's where I used to sleep," The Avatar chirped out animatedly.
‘He’s so excited….so..happy.’ The water bender thought while watching him point to the dust covered floor of a partially demolished room that adjoined the main temple area. “You slept there? Wow …It must have been…I mean how nice…Where did Appa sleep ? “ Her voice shook as he began dragging her toward an open doorway.
All of a sudden they jerked to a stop and she accidentally stumbled into his back. “Oh..ahh I’m sorry but you were pulling me so fast and then just st..op p....ed….” she started but her words drifted off when she noticed the air bender turn and scan the room with a focused intensely. ‘Is he okay or has he realized that his life will never be like it was a hundred years ago.’ she closed her eyes for a moment struggling with what to say.
“Aang…are you okay? I just want you to know I…umm.. I’m here if you want to talk ..” she stuttered out before giving his hand a light squeeze of reassurance.

Zuko eyed the Southern Airbending Temple. It was still a couple Miles off but the Temple that was atop the mountain could be seen from Sea. He rode up the Mountain Path to the temple with a couple of his men. He had started to grow out his hair again. It was at a stubble. He wanted it back to its original length by the time he came back with tht Avatar. Zuko's Mount fussily navigated the Path to the ancient and abandoned temple.
"We have a couple more Miles men! Then we capture the avatar." Zuko, under normal conditions would of mentioned the return home but he knew that capturing the avatar was a fools errand. He had giving up at maintaining morale long ago. He would return in glory with the Avatar one day. He knew this much. As he steadily followed the mountain path he thought back to his Uncle.
His Uncle Iroh had stayed behind on the ship. If anyone stopped a mutiny it was his Uncle. Iroh followed Zuko on his quest to give him advice. His advice was always sound but Zuko had to keep control so he acted as if he ignored advice no matter how good it was.
(I don't like the last paragraph... oh well)

Sokka gathers himself up and looks at the rock that hit him. He looks around suspiciously doing some math in his head he looks over towards the area he thinks it came from, then he looks back towards Katara and Aang and runs towards them.
Sokka runs up to Aang and Katara breathing heavily as he caught up. “You guys just left me there! What if the rock made it so I couldn’t walk and then I couldn’t get food and I starved!” Sokka’s gaze changes course. “Hey what is that?” Sokka says looking at whatever they may be looking at.

“You slept there? Wow …It must have been…I mean how nice…Where did Appa sleep ? “
"Uhh..." he stopped short again. "We already passed that spot," he informed her while tugging her along.
“Oh..ahh I’m sorry but you were pulling me so fast and then just st..op p....ed…. Aang…are you okay? I just want you to know I…umm.. I’m here if you want to talk ..”
"I thought.... I heard something," he searched around the room for the cause of the noise. It must've been nothing... he reasoned quietly to himself. The airbender sighed quietly, for a second there he had actually believed that his people could still be there. That they were still alive and in hiding... But it was obvious that they weren't... Aang was all alone.
“You guys just left me there! What if the rock made it so I couldn’t walk and then I couldn’t get food and I starved!”
He raised an eyebrow at the teenager. "If you didn't come then we would've gone looking for you--"
“Hey what is that?”
"It's nothing," he walked forward a little bit. "I thought I heard something but no one's here," he shrugged. Taking a few more steps forward, he noticed something. A white... tail?
The monk turned a corner in order to find out who the owner of the tail was. His eyes lit up as he spotted the small furry creature. "A.... a lemur!" he screamed, jumping suddenly at the poor creature. And instinctively, it began to run away.

"I thought.... I heard something," Aang searched around the room for the cause of the noise.
Katara gave Aang’s hand another compassionate squeeze at hearing his disheartened sigh. Her throat was tight as she looked about at the emptiness which seemed to close in around them.
“You guys just left me there! What if the rock made it so I couldn’t walk and then I couldn’t get food and I starved!” Sokka called out behind them.
The water bender was never more happy to hear her brother’s grumbling but she was somewhat confused by his reference to a rock and his not being able to walk.
Brows furrowed in concern, Katara turned to see if he was alright. ”What rock? I thought the ball I saw was only made of air? “ She worridly inquired while looking him over from head to toe in search of an injury but knew he couldn’t be too bad off if he was mentioning food.
Aang raised an eyebrow at the teenager. "If you didn't come then we would've gone looking for you--"
“Hey what is that?”
The young girl jerked her head back around to follow the warrior’s hand, “ What?” Her bright cerulean orbs focused on the wall off to their left. “I don’t’ see anything …..other than a few broken urns and stones….”
"It's nothing," The Avatar walked forward a little bit. "I thought I heard something but no one's here."
She’d been about to slip her hand free from Aangs so that she could thoroughly check Sokka over when she felt herself pulled forward once again. “Uhhh…Aang..” she started but found herself being led toward a furry white fuzzy thing winging back and forth around the corner of a wall.
Swallowing hard, Katara was the one to grasp the young Avatar’s hand tighter. “It’s n..not a snake is it? Not that I’m a afraid of them or any thing but… Do you think we should get this close?!! Sokka?!!” Her voice rose in pitch just a bit and she hoped her brother would find a reason…any reason for them to …take things a bit more cautiously.
No sooner had they turned the corner when the small monk let out a joyful scream ,"A.... a lemur!"
The water bender’s eyes widened in surprise when she saw a small white furry creature with tall ears looking back at them. “Lemur? “ she said softly mimicking Aang. In the blink of an eye, the monk released her hand and went flying down the hall after the small animal.
Spinning about and meeting her brother’s gaze she huffed, “We’d better follow him …if that little thing is scavenging around…there’s no telling what else is!! “ She soon was leaping over debris and through patches of rubbles after their new found friend.

As Sokka walked towards Aang and Katara his mouth watered. “Maybe there are some cured Mea….” Sokka turns when Aang shouts. As he turns he see’s a furry animal not much meat but meat all the same. “MEAT!” Sokka pulls out his boomerang as he charges forward.

The airbender charged down the hallway after the small lemur. Turning corner after corner he ran, that lemur was fast. "Come here little guy!" he called out to it. He just wanted to pat it on the head. Flying lemurs were something that they always used to have flying around the temples when he was younger, he was surprised to see one that was still there, even after a hundred years.
Aang used his airbending to run faster after the lemur. But it was flying... fast. He reached into the air in front of him, hoping to at least make contact with the furry creature's tail. No luck there.

Zuko and his entourage made it up the final hill. He spotted a flash of Orange cloth and two water tribe children. One who was making an awful ruckus. The Avatar must have led his new accomplices to the old Air Temple.
"Alright, Take the Avatar alive. Try not to hurt the others unless they get in the way. Their not out target." Zuko ordered to his troops. Zuko was starting to get weary of the trip. The whole goal. His father always pictured him a failure. He was just sending him out on a fool's errand. Even if he succeeded he would just be one of Ozai's Pawns. Zuko Cleared his mind, He mustn't let trivial things concern him. He would get his Honor back. Thats all the mattered.
Zuko and the soldiers lept of their mounts and raced down the path. Towards the two Watertribe teens.

Katara had just caught a glimpse of Aang's tangerine robe when her brother’s booming voice called out from behind her, “MEAT!” All she really saw was a blur of blue as he swept past her with his boomerang tightly clenched in his fist.
Figuring out the warrior’s intention, she shook her head and shouted, “SOKKA!! I don’t think…” Katara quickly realized her brother was so focused on the hunt that he hadn’t heard her calling for him. It was somewhat comical actually. The three of them weaving around debris, down narrow hallways…taking sharp turns ..all following a fleeing lemur.
Sometime during the chase, the small quartet slipped outside and made their way across an open patio. While the boys continued their pursuit back into the ruins, the water bender took a small moment to stop and catch her breath. She was bent over, hands on her thighs huffing when she heard a noise behind her.
“Very funny Sokka.. huff huff…Look I don’t think Aang is chasing..” she paused to rise and turn with the intention of facing her brother only to find two fire nation soldiers grinning back at her.
Katara’s eyes cut sharply to the entrance where the boys had darted a few minutes earlier before tuning back to meet the two men before her.
“Well well….look what we have here. So where is the Avatar little girl? If you tell us you won’t get hurt.” the first man grunted as the second began moving to cut off her exit.
Azure eyes narrowed to frostily meet the speakers. “ He's not here.” Her voice matched her disposition for these men were much like those who’d tortured her people…and killed her mother. 'Ill NEVER tell them where to find Aang!!' she swore while her eyes darted to the opening fearful that the Avatar might slip out once again.
The corners of the soldier’s lips slowly rose into a smirk as he followed her gaze, “Guess we’ll have to search for ourselves won’t we?”
Swallowing hard, Katara slipped the top off her water skin and with a focused circular motion the blue crystalline liquid swirled about her right hand.
“I don’t think so.” she said her voice as frosty as her icy orbs.
With a small laugh, the fire warrier moved toward her but Katara bent her knees and with a long graceful sweep of her arm the water wrapped about the man’s feet and pulled him down ...hard.
‘I have to tell Sokka to get Aang safely away.’ “SOKKA!!! GET AANG AWAY FROM HERE!!” she screamed at the top of her lungs sending her voice echoing about the cavernous walls below. Gritting her teeth, she moved into a crouching position ; the water swirling about her body once again.
"No..I really think you should leave. NOW." She stated firmly.

Sokka began to take the lead of the chase when suddenly the Lemur turned around and jumped up on Aangs shoulder wrapping his tail around his neck gently to hold himself still. Sokka stops and turns around to Aang. “What is that sound? Is it whoever I heard before?” Sokka turns around pulling his boomerang up ready to attack. He sees three fire nation soldiers in front of him. Two taller older men and one younger teenager in front. “What do you want here” He says in an angry tone. Suddenly he remembers his sister as he tirns around fast towards Aang. “AANG GO GET KATARA MAKE SURE SHE’S OK WE WILL MEET BACK AFTER ILL FIND YOU!” Sokka turns back around to the soldiers to see them advancing. He looks away slightly and lets his boomerang fly. Sokka looks back towards the fire nations soldiers as they begin to laugh at him. Sokka see’s the glimmering steel from his boomerang to his left as it flies by hitting the two fire nation soldiers in the helmets knocking them down. He smiles. “RUN AANG” The younger one looked towards him meaner and fiercer then the other two combined. Sokka’s stomach growled due to lack of food and the horror he faced.
“What do you want here?”

(I am Changing Zuko's Color from Red to Yellow So it is not confused with shouting.)
Zuko saw the Water Tribe boy take down two soldiers with his boomerang.
"We only want the Avatar. Stay out of the way and you won't be harmed." Zuko got into a fighting stance. He would subdue the Water Tribe warrior if he tried to attack.
"Just tell me where he is. I will take you back to South Pole if you comply." Zuko wasn't a talker like his sister. He just told him what he would do to help them get back home.

“AANG GO GET KATARA MAKE SURE SHE’S OK WE WILL MEET BACK AFTER ILL FIND YOU! RUN AANG”
For a moment he was confused at what was going on, but then he nodded at his friend. "Okay!" he ran off in the direction where he had last seen Katara, with the lemur still riding on his shoulder. Aang raced back through the ruins of his old home as he searched for the waterbender, hearing voices of men that he'd never heard before as he ran.
"Katara!?" the airbender called out to her as he scanned the area near the temple. He saw a flash of blue and ran towards it, assuming that it was her. As he got closer, he could see that there were two Fire Nation soldiers that were fighting her. "Get away from her!" he yelled as he got into an airbending stance, he was gripping his staff tightly.
When the soldiers didn't listen, he swung the staff through the air in front of him, blowing a strung gust at the men. He ran for Katara and grabbed her arm while the soldiers stumbled forward, trying to regain their balance. "We have to find Appa and get out of here," he said to her as they ran through the ruins, away from the soldiers.

Zuko looked away from Sokka. The Avatar had knocked the two men that were confronting the girl off their feet and escaped.
"Focus on the Avatar!" Zuko fired a flurry of fire blasts at Aang. They didn't hit but he was just hoping to make him loose his balance.
Two more men came from the outside of the temple, they fired blasts at the Avatar. Zuko rushed after the Avatar ignoring Sokka.
(I take Sokka captive and you guys escape but come back to recue him is a good idea. Or he knocks me unconscious with a club and you all escape)

“Girl..you’re not being smart. Just let us past and we’ll let you leave.” The smug faced warrior grunted.
Katara’s oval eyes narrowed once more and she spun about with her arm arching upward sending a funnel of water directly at the sneak who was trying to attack her from behind. The gush of liquid thrust him nearly twenty feet away onto his back.
“I hope Sakka is keeping Aang safe..” she whispered softly while glancing back over at the ruins.
When she retuned her attention to her attacker, she found a ball of golden flame moving swiftly toward her. The water bender reacted instinctively and began moving her hands in a clockwise motion sending the water upward to form a liquid barrier. Upon contact, the flame and water mixed creating a huge cloud of steam.
Swallowing hard, Katara realized she had no water left with which to fight and began moving backward away from her attackers. The taller of the two fire benders had just reached out to grab her when the brunette heard a voice call out from behind her.
"Get away from her!" Aang yelled.
Shifting slightly, she saw the young air bender standing with his staff raised upward
“Aang!” she breathed and prepared to run toward him but found her path blocked once again. Katara raised her arms in preparation for an attack when a huge gust of wind sent the two Fire Nation soldiers stumbling to the ground. No sooner had they risen to their knees than she felt a hand grab her arm and begin pulling her down a well worn path.
“We have to find Appa and get out of here," The Avatar said to her as they ran through the ruins, away from the soldiers.
The two sped across the uneven rock covered ground toward the area where the boys had been playing their game earlier. “Aang…where’s Sokka?“ she huffed. Her steps faltered and slowed as she looked over her shoulder in hopes of seeing her brother not far behind. “I can’t leave him!… Sokka…” her voice wobbled a bit at thought of loosing her brother. Her sad cerulean eyes met the young Avatar’s. “You go on Aang. You’re the last hope for our world . If they catch you…everything is lost.” Katara moved to return to the Air Temple but found her arm still firmly grasped.

Sokka turned towards the young fire bender boy who had been ignoring him “Hey get away from them im your enemy!” As he grabbed his boomerang he threw it again at Zukos feet attempting to trip him from behind . As he does that two more soldiers come up from behind sokka and try to attack him he rolls around dodging the first two attacks only to be caught by a net thrown by a third Fire nation soldier. Sokka turns to his boomerang hoping it will hit his target and come back so he can cut himself free.
As he watch’s a fire nations soldier hit’s the back of his head knocking him out his vision fades as he drifts to nothingness. “You’ll never get then” he says slowly with the last of his breath and fades away to think of cured meats and good jokes.
