Plop, plop! The sound of the canoe riding the arctic waves never seemed to stop. The canoe that held the dangerous outcast of a teen was old, and non-too sturdy. In-fact, it was falling apart with each passing wave. Creak, moaned the boat. When Ishi had taken this waste in water, she had her mind set on other things, not paying attention, not inspecting it properly. Ishi was now afraid if she tryed to go back to shore, the canoe would completely break in halve. What a dilema.
But what the girl was doing out in a canoe was more intresting than the boat's moaning. Being a teen, Ishi was now made to catch her own food, for if she didn't, she would starve. She had no one to take care of her, care for her, she had to do it all on her own. And Ishi liked it that way. Why should she trust anyone but herself, they'd only get in her way, or worse. Be her destruction. Like her father.
Skeeel, went the aweful silver thread. It never liked Ishi. It always gave her problems. This time, the rod had intanged itself, with the help of the bobing waves. Ugh. Stupid thread. Ishi was never really patient with things. Especially things that always seemed to mock her at every turn. Getting fustrated, a lump of water ran down her covered right arm, and came to float on top of her fingertips. It took the form of a four-pointed star. Suddenly, the water jerked to a silver form, and raced to the string. With a sickening metal-on-metal screech, the string broke in two.
Always me. Huh? The water-star disappeared in the ocean surround. Suddenly, the boat moaned like it was dying, and it all flashed before her eyes. The sides of the boat split, and next thing she knew, Ishi was in the water. It was very unusual, but Ishi couldn't swim. Panicing inside, Ishi supported herself in the icy water by waterbending. Soon she can to a piece of ice. It became the boat of which she stayed on, but she was now trapped.
Crap. said Ishi, as she reluctently admitted defeat.

Zuko was sailing close by. He wanted to see the Ice flows one last time. He was leaning on the rail looking at the tundra. He watched as the cold water crashed against the Ice. He heard shouts. He saw a canoe go under when he turned to the ocean. The person went under but managed to climb onto a piece of ice.
"They're trapped on the ice..." Zuko said as he looked at the person, he then shouted to the helmsman, "Helmsman! Take us to the canoe the just sunk.
The ship lurched and moved out to sea. Zuko thought that he could give her a ride back to her village or something. It was the least he could do for all the pain he had caused to these people. He looked out back towards the ice plains. He sighed and walked over to the port side of the ship. The Small fire nation ship approached the place were the canoe had sunk.
(I am so sorry I didn't post I had an emergency with my band.)

It was true. Sad, but true. Ishi was not all that wise when she was fustrated. Sitting like a helpless duckling, Ishi sputtered water from her lungs. It was ironic. An excellent water-bender didn't know how to swim. Ishi never really understood why she never learned to swim. It would have certainly make sense. Suddenly, the drowned water-bender heard the crashing of a large boat shortly off in the distance. Not siding with anyone in this war, Ishi was not frightened when she turned and saw that the boat was Fire Nation. A little hatred flared when she realized they were the fleets that destroyed her father. Her village she could care less about. But her father was everything to her.
It look a lot of self-control to stand up and face the oncoming ship without a threat of destroying it, but what would that prove. Or do? It would just make more people stranded out in the icy terrian. Ugh! As the ship neared, Ishi waited for a first action from the ship. Did they want something? The last thing from her mind was that they were there to rescue her, not that she'd need it if she were brighter.
A flash of hatred showed in Ishi's cold, emotionless eyes. Reflecting in them were the ship. A first move. Wasn't going to be made by her. So she waited. What now? She complained.

Zuko saw that the person was a female. Probably around his age. The ship stopped by the block of ice she stood. On Zuko tossed down a ladder and climbed down it. He motioned for his guards to stay on the ship. He stepped of onto her block of ice
"Need any help?" Zuko asked, "We saw you were in trouble" Zuko walked carefully on the ice he was used to the deck of the ship. He had been out at sea for so long. The girl looked very angry, he had to tread carefully. Not only had the Fire Nation probably done great harm to this girl but she was also stuck on a block of ice at the south pole.

... As a ladder was thrown down the ship and a scarred black-haired male stepped onto the block of ice with her, Ishi didn't know what to think. Need any help? he asked. Fumbling for words, Ishi said I-I guess. Thank you.. Ishi was always a sucker for cute boys. Ishi didn't know... she was sent into a dramatic trance. Shaking it off, Ishi walked towards the boat. Nodding to the teen around her age, she took hold of the first bar she could reach on the ladder. Slowly she climbed up. Without slowing to show her struggle up the rope ladder, Ishi looked down to see if the boy was following her up.
Her gaze drifted off into the water. It wasn't that she was afraid of water, working around it for so long, it was just that it could cause her death, if she wasn't careful. Much like her skills with water could kill others, it was a sacrifice. Using a weapon that could kill her as much as it could kill others. Snapping back into reality, Ishi finished her struggling climb to the boat. She was uncomfortable arrivingon the ship with Fire Nation guards on either side of her, worst of all she couldn't see their faces. Freaky.

Zuko waited for the girl to finish climbing the ladder. He then climbed once she had climbed aboard. When he climbed aboard his troops reeled in the ladder. The small Frigate lurched Sea ward. Some of troops went back to their quarters. Zuko had given up running a tight shift so nearly everyone removed there helmets and only wore it when another Fire Nation ship was there or to intimidate people at port. I guess they wanted to scare the girl... idiots.
"So uh... were would you like to go? I can take you to a port in the Earth Kingdom or back to your village. We saw you sink." Zuko watched as the Chief Engineer grinned and walked back down to the engine room. He had always had a problem with him. But he was the only reason this ship was floating.

Earth Kingdom? Do I look like an earth bender? I don't wear green! But I guess I don't wear Water-Tribe clothes anymore either. V-village? Should... she? No. She couldn't. I.. I'm sorry. He shouldn't have had to come and rescue her. She now realized a ice bridge to shore wouldn't have been a bad option. Oh well. Avoiding answering the destination question for a while, Ishi said So.. where are you going? Ishi said all her words in such a dead, lifeless tone. It almost made it seem like she didn't care.
Turning to the man who was grinning, Ishi frowned. They seemed to know something she didn't. Of course. But it didn't make her feel any better. Ugh. Now.. more about this guy who took her off the ice. Who was he? Why was he so nice, she knew he was from the Fire Nation. Hmm..

Zuko saw that the girl didn't care to go anyplace, she must be an outcast from the village the Avatar took refuge at. Zuko walked to the front of the ship. He turned to face her.
"I don't think I introduced myself formally. I am Prince Zuko of the Fire Nation," He paused, "I am currently banished and can only return once I capture the Avatar."
Zuko didn't want to say that part to her, but it was the truth. More and more he was questioning his task. He didn't want to get absorbed in thought at the moment.
"Guessing by your pause I'm going to assume you don't want to go back to the Southern Water Tribe's Village," Zuko said as he looked at the girl, "We can take you any Port that's neutral or Fire Nation."
Zuko waited for the girls response. She was pretty even with the hair dropping over her face and the lack of emotion.

I don't think I introduced myself formally. I am Prince Zuko of the Fire Nation, I am currently banished and can only return once I capture the Avatar. Zuko announced. Ishi didn't mind all that much, that he was Fire Nation, she had gotton over that. What was worrying her now was that she was on the ship with the Fire Lord's one and only son. Oh geeze. He could have her arrested right away if he knew she was a Water Bender. But.. she liked him somehow. This worryed her even more.
I'm Ishi. She said quietly, her eyes gazed at the deck of the boat, her eyes covered by her short silverish hair. I too am an outcast. The Fire Nation raided my village, and killed my father. Fear and emotion came fludding back to her as she remembered her past memories about her father. Anger was what was showing on the outside, but she kept herself under control. Not knowing what to do next, Ishi stood at the front of the boat, avoiding eye contact.

Zuko stood in silence for a couple of seconds. Her father was one of the many casualties of innocents the Fire Nation had caused. He wanted to break the silence.
"Well... It probably means nothing to you. But I am truly sorry for your loss. The Fire Nation shouldn't be fighting this war. We are told it is a war to share our prosperity with the rest of the world. And that's what I thought until I came out here and saw the suffering that has been thrust on the world by us. The evil invaders." Zuko was getting angry. He couldn't take it. He shot a huge Fireblast up into the air. He pictured that some certain ancestors were in the way of that fireball. He hated Sozin for Starting the war and his Grandfather and Father for continuing it. He stopped fire bending, He didn't want to scare his guest. Even though he probably already did. Fire Benders were prone to fits of rage. Nowadays anyway.
"I'm sorry I didn't mean to get so... er angry. Is there any port in particular you want to go to. We are heading to Kyoshi Island." Zuko said. He hoped that he didn't scare her. That would be bad.

Barely looking up to make eye contact with the angered boy, Ishi smirked. How could you possible know what it feels like to lose a father? Otherwise, your words are empty. A single tear rolled down her cheek, but was quickly wiped away, and no more dared follow. Calming down again, Ishi said, You guys are not evil. You are order-bound. Doing what your told, even if it means killing. You guys are not evil, crazy, perhaps. But you guys are more mindless, having no moral sense of justice yourselves. You let your presious lord make your decisions. That was the most Ishi had ever spoken at once. She felt like she could let herself out now, for so odd reason.
As a huge fireball was shot into the sky, Ishi did not move. Her hair covered her eyes, giving her an omonous look. "I'm sorry I didn't mean to get so... er angry. Is there any port in particular you want to go to. We are heading to Kyoshi Island." Responding shortly, Ishi said, I have no where to go. Sounds good. Slowly, Ishi was feeling all her anger flow away with the ocean that surrounded them. She felt like she could trust him, dispite who he was. Maybe he did want a change. She could not tell.
