Is He/She a Canon?: No
Nationality: Fire Nation
Location: Wanderer
Alliance: Undecided
Is He/She a Bender?: Fire Bender
Character's Name: Kyakou Misaki
Gender: Male
Age: 16
Height: 5'1"
Appearance:
Kyakou is a rather short teen at around 5'1" only. Unlike many of his fellow fire nation citizens, Kyakou has snow white hair that is quite spiky. His hair is slicked back except for one large bang that hangs to the right side of his face. The only factor that could have contributed to his odd hair is from the fact during childhood he was often malnourished. This effected his growth as well as his normal body as it developed which included his hair and height mostly. He adorns emerald green eyes that shine with determination and compassion whenever he meets another's gaze. He normally is seen in a totally different set of attire aside from normal fire nation citizens. He usually wears a black kimono along with a white haori over it. Normally he wears a pair of straw sandals.
History:
Kyakou for the most part never knew his true parents. He was born and raised initially as an orphan in a small town called Shinsu. The town prided itself in its iron smith's and swordsmen. Kyakou attended school and bending training while in Shinsu, however never really could bend all that well. He tried countless times to do what he saw his fellow classmates such as create a small barrier or unleash sparks of fire. However to no avail he simply became frustrated with it. His parents that raised him however were soon called to join the fire nation's military as a new campaign had been launched. Kyakou had heard it was against the Water Nation.
Kyakou soon became parentless again, however he didn't really let it get to him. Eventually he became a good pupil of one of the dojo's head swordsmen which trained him to fight with a sword. He soon learned to incorporate a few fire bending techniques with his sword play which made him become a new breed of swordsman in that village at the tender age of 13. With nothing left for him in Shinsu he soon left the village to wander. He never knew where he was going until he was abducted and taken hostage by a roaming Water Nation tribe.
Kyakou was treated horribly by the small tribe that had captured him, however didn't really understand why they hated him so much. He hadn't done anything to them yet they abused him nearly every day. There was a girl about his age that also traveled with the tribe and she began to talk to him a few times. At first it was just to say hi or bring him his daily food and water. Soon she began to ask questions about what the Fire Nation was like. Kyakou couldn't really answer the questions because he never truly was brought up with real parents. His parents never paid too much attention to him and mostly were involved in the military affairs.
He spent time as their prisoner for almost a year until one night the girl had come to visit him in his cage they had kept him in. It was made of some sort of fire resistant wood that he had never seen. He had already tried to use small sparks to burn away the bars however this never worked. The girl had unlocked the cage for him and slipped him his sword that the tribe had confiscated from him. She also gave him a leather water canteen which she had given up herself. Kyakou had asked her what her name was but she never told him. She only said you'd know me if you saw me ever again.
Ever since then Kyakou has been wandering the lands lost and hated by many, however those he has crossed he has helped out since they didn't realize he was from the Fire Nation due to his appearance. Those who did find out whether by seeing him light fires or heat his own food immediatly spread rumors about him or treated him poorly. Kyakou didn't care for the most part, however soon found out why he was hated so much.
He learned what the Fire Nation had done and grew angry at his own people at how they could've done such a thing. They had virtually declared war on every other nation. He couldn't understand it. Why couldn't they live in peace? He continued wandering hoping to find someone other than his people to travel along with and fight against those who he grew up with even if it was treason.
Inventory:
Small leather canteen
A Katana with a star shaped hilt
Personality:
Kyakou has been quite an outgoing person ever since he was able to voice his own opinions. He rarely lets people push him around especially in his own nation. Kyakou adheres to rules, however is disgruntled by those who enjoy slacking off. For the most part though Kyakou is a compassionate person unlike most of what people come to expect from a fire nation citizen. He always tries to care for others no matter who they are, however isn't necessarily afraid to say if something is really bothering him.
Strengths:
Great swordsman which he has practiced more than his actual fire bending. Can take charge of a situation if needed and can be relied upon for anything. He has the unique ability to combine sword techniques with Fire Bending.
Weaknesses:
Sometimes too compassionate towards others and perhaps too forgiving. He hesitates frequently while fighting due to conflicts within himself since he still is a fire nation citizen, howerver personality traits clash with his aggressiveness.
Sample Roleplay:
Kyakou roamed the small deserted wasteland that had once thrived with a water tribe. It was all but barren now as dust tornados began to kick up and sandstorms were common. Kyakou raised his haori over his head in an attempt to keep the whirling sand particles away from his face. The gritty particles made it quite hard to breathe, however Byaka kept going on. He wandered from village to village. Road to road looking for any information on a resistance he could join.
Eventually Kyakou could see the light through the sand. He didn't even know where he was after those few years since he'd been captured. Kyakou found a small outcropping of rocks and stopped by for a few moments. he brushed off his kimono and shook off his haori before placing it back on himself. He shook his snow white hair as the sand slowly sifted its way out. He sat down and simply sighed as his large white bang fell across his eye. He reached into his kimono and grabbed at the small leather canteen in which he promptly popped the small cork off and drank a few gulps of the precious water from it.
