Character's Name:
Zin Cang
Gender:
Male
Age:
18
Height:
5' 10"
Appearance:
Zin isn't a very unique individual to look at. His appearance is quite plain and he doesn't look to be any significant to anyone. He isn't very tall, but not that short either. He weighs around one hundred and forty-three pounds and at least sixty percent of his weight is muscle mass. He has dark black hair and his eyes are a bright gold. He only has one thing that would set him apart in a crowd and that is his hair style. He has long hair, but does not wear it in a topknot, but instead allows it to flow down his back like a lion's mane, which usually gets him mistaken for a woman from afar and behind, but people that know him would usually call him "Cub."
Alike most officials of the Fire Nation, Zin would on occasion wear a set of robes that range from a dark crimson to a slightly tinted red with combinations of gold linings and different designs. Zin is most commonly seen in a workers clothing though, usually his father's profession(black smithing) so he would usually wear a crimson sleevless kimono with ragged shorts and a gold colored sash. He usually wears a pair of wooden sandals when he is in his workshop, but other than that he wears a standard pair of shoes.
History:
The life of a strategist... its very misleading. Most don't even realise their calling to the arts of war until their later years. This strategist however... realised his calling at the age of eight. An age where most would be trying to follow the foot steps of their parents or try and learn a preffered skill amongst the family. This boy did not. His father was a black smith, his mother a teacher, Zin Cang showed no sign of interest in either of those skill, not even in firebending. Though his thoughts and hopes went towards war and strategy.
When Zin was at the age of six, he had discovered to be a firebender. Which was very odd seeing that he was born during the winter solstice instead of the summer. Zin had always been an odd boy. Different from the rest of the children of the Fire Nation. He was very understanding, not because he was supposed to be, but because he actually comprehended what he was told. Usually asking someone to break down a word if he did not know its meaning, and wouldn't stop pestering them until they did.
When he became of the age of seven he had been known to twist words around to make something he says seem completely the opposite. Though, he never used such trickery on his parents, it would be considered dishonorable to him and he would punish himself for doing such a thing. Though doing such things at school while he wasn't around his mother was no hard task for him.
When he became eight he found out about the current war, the only thing he did not understand. He researched wars, why they happened? Results of them? How they were waged? How they were won how they were fought. It all became his tool to learn. Every night when he'd come home his father would read with him a certain war in the history of the fire nation and they'd have discussions about it. So that would mean that... the only one who understood Zin was his father. He and his father had never been closer.
A few years later Zin had learned as much as he could from the libraries of the fire nation and beseeched his father to order some from the other nations and kingdoms when the soldiers would come to him to repair armor or weapons. It was done. The soldiers brought back strategy scrolls, war manuals, anything that helped Zin understand different battle styles and reasons for fighting.
As Zin became fourteen his father had recommended him to the Fire Nation army. Though Zin admired Ozai and the reason for the war, he refused to go. He decided to stay with his father and help support the family, and so he began learning fire bending. Within a four month period Zin had learned the basics and some more advanced techniques with firebending. He had learned all his father could teach him. Suprisingly, unlike most fire benders, he refused to try and lean more. He was satisfied and he soon took up the role of assistant blacksmith.

Personality:
Zin is a difficult man to identify and the hardest kind to read. He enjoys little things and denies nearly everything, making what others have heard questionable and his personal likings unbelievable. There is one thing however that is confirmed that he absolutely loves... WAR! He had always been intrigued by it since he was eight years of age. Strategy is his forte and he has made a living out of studying it.
Zin is also a very well read boy. Despite his age he competes on levels of those that are of a professional league and has been reccommended a professional position before, though he refused the recommendation before it could even reach the army. Since he was eight years old he has studied wars of the past and seen how the strategists of lore had acted, reacted, and decided upon their decisions. He read how politicians read through their competitors and came on top, how strategists read the field of battle in an instant and came up with a plan and especially how they read their enemy. Reading your enemy is the greatest skill one can have in Zin's eyes... and through years of manifesting this skill he had mastered it.
He comes off as a cold man. Though he smiles, its empty, there is no feeling or any kind of warmth behind it. His eyes only hold one thing in them and it will be told later. He keeps his head through the roughest of situations and has never seen to be one to get angry quickly, if at all. These things combined into one mind has been proven deadly before, and he has been compared to other strategists of war past... which has led many to believe... that he is a sign of war.
Strengths:
A man of knowledge, Zin is very well learned. He may not be able to do certain martial art practices, but he has learned enough of them to be able to avoid it, at least until his fighter(s) return to his side. He has learned an art that has helped many strategists of old and that is the art of reading his foe's and being able to guess at their best possible choice of things.
Weaknesses:
Zin is a man of the mind. His social skills aren't all that well and if he speaks to another he pretty much says what he wants not considering their feelings so he doesn't make a lot of friends that easily. Though he has the mind of a great strategist he has no ability when it comes to fighting, much like strategists, and allows others to do the fighting for him. The downfall to his main "trick" is that when he just meets someone that it is hard to perfectly predict their form of action.

So... this is the place? This shall be my home. This is my start. Zin thought to himself as he dropped his scrolls and manuals down onto a table. He looked at his small room and smiled to himself. He was living in a hut now. In a small Fire Nation city. Now came the big thing. How to start the plan? He would need loyal people... people that he could "trust" with certain tasks and procedures. So he had walked around town, speaking with men that looked promising trying to recruit his worthy "generals."
Then the day came. He received a knock on his door. He refused to go answer after a while and the knocks stopped. He chuckled to himself as he went to his door and looked out of the window next to it. To his surprise there was a letter attached to his window. So that the words were showing to the inside of the house. This person is intelligent... so they want to meet me eh? I'll play their game then. Zin thought to himself as he turned his back to the window and began prepearations.
The next day the knocks came again, though Zin was not in his home. He was in town and yet, there was a voice that came from within his hut. "COming!" the voice cried. The young servent went to the door and answered it and received the men. The two however were not fooled and knew that it was not Zin. The men left and Zin returned, speaking with his servent, he learned of the two men and why there were visiting. Twice in a row? Interesting. Zin thought to himself. Then the third day came.
The men were heading towards the cabin and yet it was unoccupied for the third time. Zin was nowhere to be found, not even his servent. So the men returned to their abode, only to find Zin sitting at their table with his feet proppoed up as though he was some kind of king.
"So... I heard you two were looking for me?" Zin said to the two with a smirk.
"Yeah. I am Fubatsu Musa... this here is my young Earthbending friend Saizo. I heard you were looking for some muscle. I am pretty well versed in swordplay and Saizo here... heh... he's a unique earthbender. We could be useful to you in your plans."
Zin looked the two over for a while and after a few hours of questioning and drinking, he had come to a conclusion. These two were perfect for him to begin his plan, though... something was missing.. no.. someONE was missing. He needed one more... one that was good at infiltrating...
