Luna walked through the woods. She had been camping out for the past few days near a small stream. She was teaching herself waterbending moves. She was really good at it, but had nothing but basic waterbending scrolls. She knew no master would teach her because she was a girl. She was running low on supplies and was traveling to the nearest village. The village she found was small and didn't have much of a variety of items. She focused on finding some fresh fruits and cured meat.

Zhan strolled through the wilderness of the Earth Kingdom, listening to the tranquility that he had yearned for so long, he sighed calmly with a smile, this place the Fire Lords sought to conquer was truly a peaceful place than that of the thunderous battle fields. As he walked he spotted a village in the distance, he shook his canteen and tugged on his small bag. He had enough food to last him several days but not enough water. What village doesn't have water? he thought to himself as he approached the village. He entered, only to find a rather small village, few stalls, not a very promising outlook...

The fishing expedition had been planned for months. Most of Shona's men have been looking forward to be fishing around the earth kingdom and on the big trolley The Everlasting Dawn
The crew had many men including waterbenders and Shona's brothers all six were on board, Arrluk the eldest was in control, followed by Chuylin and Shona. Ikaiq was working with Kesuk and finally Atka who worked behind scenes. All six had been looking forward to be catching the red-belly tuna this year.
The Everlasting Dawn was in a warf of a small village, Shona forgot the name of it but the huge ship after some long manuvering finally maded to the harbor as all the men scurried out on to hand to eat and get more supplies. Shona was in a loose periwinkle tunic, with slate trousers and brown seal-skin boots. His burly arms were exposed as well as the owl tattoo on his right bicep. Scowering the market for souvieres, he saw something that catch his attention. What was a water tribe girl doing far from home? Most women weren't allowed to travel not alone at least, exspecially durning a hideous war. She had to be as old as his daughter Kokomi back at home.

Luna glanced toward the docks of the small village. She saw a huge boat and instantly recognized it. It was a Northern Water Tribe fishing boat. She instantly turned in the opposite direction and tried to walk in a normal pace. She knew they would try to bring her back and force her to get married. She hadn't bought anything yet, but that became the last thing on her list. Because she was a girl, it was unsuited for her to be on her own, especially in an unknown town away from the Water Tribe. She hoped none of them saw her she was wearing the normal outfit, but a bit lighter, that she would in the Water Tribe. If they saw her they would instantly now her nationality.

Shona did reconize her, or at least her nationality. What was girl doing all the way out here? The fisherman wonder how she even got out here. Considering the North Pole has been isolating itself from the war for about 80 years, only a select few ships could be out of the Northern Territories. Shona's Everlasting Dawn was registered as a "commerctial vessle " and only with permission could he and his brothers catch the tuna migration. Could this young lady have snuck on a vessel and got transported here?
Shona wondered this, stowaways are not tolerated and we're delt sevearly. He started walking to the girl thinking how she would ever survive on her own. She could be caught by bandits, raped, or sold into slavery. There was all sorts of horrid fates to young women that ran far from home. He couldn't let any of them happen to her. "HEY HEY GIRL!" He shouted walking quickly

Luna was walking at a normal pace. She hears someone yelling, "HEY HEY GIRL!" She took a chance to look behind her to see that one of the fisherman had spotted her. She picked up her pace and began to run. She didn't want to talk to them, and didn't want them to force her back to the Water Tribe. She didn't and wouldn't go back to her home. She was actually free to do what she want and not told how she should act or what she should do.

As soon as the girl responded to him, she started to respond. This wasn't a good sign, defintly suggesting she ran off. Shona just wanted to know why she wasn't even here? Poor girl looked like his daughter's age. He just wanted to talk.
With that, Shona ran after her as man that used to chase buffaloyak and his son, this was no problem. He grabbed her by the shoulder after quickly catching up with her "Hey, don't be rude, I just wanted to have a word with you. Whats a pretty little girl doing out in place like this?"

Zhan rounded a corner, he felt that he heard flowing water near by. Although it wasn't he would run into but Water tribe folk, unusually he turned to find a young girl running from someone and a man grabbed her by the shoulder in order to stop her. "Hey, don't be rude, I just wanted to have a word with you. Whats a pretty little girl doing out in place like this?" Zhan wasn't too sure what his intentions were but he felt it was time to intervene. "Excuse me!" he called out,"What is happening here?..."

Shona turned to see a odd looking young man. He looked like a travler or a vagabond of some kind. Shona's face furrowed however when he choosed to interupted him. He didn't know this man and he him. Why would he bother him? Hasn't done anything to hurt the girl?
Shona's brow creased. "This between the Watertribe...please move along sir."

"We're not in the Water Tribe," Luna said moving away from the man slightly. She glanced at the young man that had interrupted and then back at the fishermen, "I haven't done anything and I'm not planning on returning to the Water Tribe." She looked at the two men 'How do I get myself in these messes?' she asked herself.

Lifting an eyebrow Shona was a bit offended she was over reacting and not well, he noted. He removed his hand from her and scratched his head. As he adjusted his stance. Not to please that the man interupped them and even more annoyed when this young lady reacted poorly.
"Look miss, I am not making you do anything, I am just wondering why are you out in the Earth Kingdom? Do you have an escort or anyone helping you?" Shona didn't want to scare the girl, but the road was place of peril, the last thing he wanted was one of his people hurt but he wasn't going to force her to do anything. "Ma'am I don't know why you are out her of all places, but it's really dangerous to be all by yourself." Atka and Arrluk called out
"Bro! Hey we need to leave soon!"

Zhan raised an eye brow to find that there wasn't any real trouble but the two definitely didn't seem to know eachother. "My apologies," he said with a bow,"I shouldn't of interrupted." He walked past the two water tribe but stopped,"The Earth Kingdom isn't dangerous,"he turned to face them briefly,"It's what's invading this land." He spoke these words with images of his past flashing through his mind, he would not allow such things to repeat...

She saw how annoyed he was and answered his question honestly, “I’m in the Earth Kingdom…” She struggled to find a good reason, but finally found one. “Because I want to get away and find out what the world has to offer. She noticed the young man bow and apologized. She agreed that the Earth Kingdom was not dangerous it was just the people within it currently.
She didn’t like how he insisted that she might need someone to escort her or helping her. "I can defend myself," Luna said confidently. She wasn't some helpless girl from the Water Tribe. She has taught herself and was getting really good at bending offensively and defensively not just in healing.

The point still stood, it was dangerous to be on the road alone as strange man interjected. Fire Nation would not hesiated to the girl. Even if she had some knowledge on offensive and battle a grown man could easily over take her. She was doomed that was for sure.
Though as much as Shona would like to take her with him and hopefully back home he seriously didn't want to start a scene and his brothers want him to return. This was a no win situation. Women, they really couldn't see reason could they? Sighing with sense of annoyance and defeat, Shona backed away looking upset and concerned. "You might want hire someone to protect you, they are theives, brigans and Fire Nation men who would have no qualms on taking your digninty and killing you. Despite your claim wanting to see what the world has to offer, the most you'll get is pretty jaded experiance. We're in a war miss and I am sorry you're blind to see it." And with Shona left shaking his head.
Women, he couldn't reason with them.

Luna could tell he was concern about her wellbeing, but she was sure she could defend herself if the situation came about. She wasn't planning on hiring anyone to be her body guard, she would be her own body guard. As she saw the man take his leave she turned back around to the village.
She remembered the real reason she came to this village. To gather a few supplies. She walked to the various tables of fruit, meat, and useless items. She looked back at the fisherman seeing him leave, she sighed. At least she wasn't going back to the Water Tribe. She looked over an odd looking fruit. Being in the Water Tribe she didn't have much of choice of what to eat, so she liked to try new food!
