Luna had been walking for many days she wasn't sure where she was headed and didn't particularly care. She noticed a large city ahead of her she wasn’t sure what its name was as she never traveled in the Earth Kingdom before. She took a seat on the side of the road to take a break and look at her supplies she had enough water, but was running low on food. It would be cheaper to hunt for food than pay for something as she had very little money left. She traveled deeper into the woods behind her she found some berries and nuts. The berries didn't appear to be harmful, but she wasn't too sure. She took a bite of one it was very sour she quickly spit it out. She sighed if she knew the difference in all of this vegetation it would be very helpful. Back at the North Pole they didn't have vegetation therefore she never needed to know the difference in mere berries. She sighed traveling more off course into the woods.

Plucking yet another purpleberry thorn from her hair with a huff, Katara stepped over the small branch lying across the path. "Well at least I found something to eat. I sure hope Sokka caught something on his hunting expedition…” she mumbled to herself. The small bag full of the sweet smelling fruit swung to and fro in her hand as she followed the snakelike path back toward their latest camp. Unfortunately, Ignis’s words still echoed in her head. Taunting..teasing and prodding at her silent demon. ‘Was he telling the truth? ‘ she wondered, her fist tightening about the small bag.
Katara was pulled from her internal turmoil by the breaking of a branch just off to her right. ‘Had Ignis followed her back? No, he had far more deadly intentions if what he said was true. ‘ she remonstrated while placing her feet carefully upon the ground and making her way toward the disturbance. The water bender’s eyes widened when she saw a pretty girl, dressed in water tribe garments, spitting something onto the ground. It was then that she saw the bush that she assumed the girl had just plucked the bitter berry from. It seemed they were both set on accomplishing the same task. Not wanting to frighten her off, Katara called out in a non threatening voice. “Hello. Out looking for berries too?”

Luna heard footsteps from the woods and when she turned her head she saw a young girl. She seemed to be the same age as her, but what surprised her was that she was wearing Water Tribe garments and her eyes were blue as well. She didn't look familiar she wonder if she was from the Northern Water Tribe. The North Pole was huge and it was impossible to know everyone that lived there. But then again she may be from the sister tribe, the Southern Water Tribe. As she was much closer to that tribe than her own.
'Hello. Out looking for berries too?' The girl had asked. Luna smiled at her hearing her tone, "Trying at least." Luna looked back at the bush unsure if it was a good bush or not. She sighed looking back at the girl, "I'm not very good at finding good berries though."

‘Another water bender….in the earth nation? ‘ Katara pondered with a puckered brow as she did a quick scan of the area for an expected family member or companions. “ I wasn’t so great foraging here either when I first arrived. I just watched what Momo would eat the most and pick those. So far it’s been a sure thing. “ the brunette gave a wry smile and moved closer.
“Course I’m hoping Sokka was able to catch something….edible. Not that he isn’t a good hunter but…well. Sometimes he gets a bit ..distracted due to his curiosity. …which also strangely enough gets us into some interesting dilemmas. “ Katara gave a small laugh and shook her head. “I’m sorry. Guess I was rambling again. I do tend to do that . Hi! I’m Katara I’m from the Southern water tribes. Me and my brother are traveling with An..a friend to Omashu.“
The bender glanced about again wondering where the girl’s other companions were. She wasn’t roaming about the earth kingdom by herself …was she? “ I couldn’t help but notice ..you’re from the water tribes too right? Are your friends nearby ?”

a line of water zipped through the air, peaceful day and all, Who was on that line of water?, Ken.
Ken looked around, quite a bit of tree's, he had become used to them now, so as he had ith his 'method' of movement, It tired out his arms instead, not his legs. As he zipped along he grabebd the rucksack on his side, and started picking out the fruit, and vegtables that lived up in the tree's, apples. Yum
He looked down, before almsot losing his balence "Woahhh..2 he said, before re-gaining his composture, before zipping down to the ground, Hearing voice he then put his water back in its bottle, but kept it at an open and ready position, until he heard katara's voice that is., before hearing another voice
Deja Vu?
he felt he knew that voice, just a similarity, nothing Ab-normal, he continued through the bush, smilin lihtly toward the both of them
"Hey katara, I've got some foo....d He..re.." he finished, glancing towards the other girl, un-bearable similar to someone?, he closed one eye, imagining her, and comparing her to the girl he just saw.
'Luna?' He thought to himself.
" Luna?..." he said avidly, eyeing her carefully
"Is that you?." he said nearing her, till he was aound a foot away, lookin down at her

Luna listen to the girl named Katara. She was intrigued to find some else from the Water Tribe. She wonder who Momo was it didn't sound like a person's name an animal perhaps? 'I’m sorry. Guess I was rambling again. I do tend to do that ' Luna silently agreed she was starting to ramble, but didn't mind it at all. It was nice to talk to someone else she had been on her own for quite some time. Luna answered Katara's question 'You’re from the water tribes too right? Are your friends nearby ?' "Yes, I'm from the Northern Water Tribe. But I'm traveling on my own. And by the way my name is Lu..."
Luna was cut off by the sounds of a young man, 'Hey Katara, I've got some foo....d He..re..' She looked up to see a familiar looking young man. Her face lit up at recognizing who it was Ken!
He was eying her when he spoke, 'Luna?...Is that you?' He had certainly grown since she last saw him which had been a while. She smiled at him and gave him a hug. "Ken! It's been such a long time!" She was overjoyed at seeing her childhood friend she hadn't heard from him since he left for the Earth Kingdom. She hadn't expected to see him again.

Katara’s eyes lit up instantly at hearing that the young girl was from the Northern tribes. “Wow…I’ve never been there!! Always wanted to find out what it was like…Sokka too. Are there many…” Her dialogue was brought to an abrupt stop when Ken’s voice called out from somewhere ..above them.
“Ken?” she asked somewhat puzzled before lifting her bright blue eyes to find him balanced on an rope of water above them. ‘What’s he doing?' She pondered but grinned widely at hearing he had food. “What did you find? I’ve got some berries and roots…but I’m not real sure about them..although..” she stopped when Ken peered down at the girl by her side saying in an almost awed voice. " Luna?...Is that you?”
Eyes wide now in surprise, the brunette watched the two embrace while the girl acknowledge their previous association.
“Ahhh..I take it you two know each other?” she asked with a smile while pulling back slightly to give them some space. “Small world isn’t it?”

He accepted her hug innocently, His head embedded to her neck
' She still smells of lavender and stawberries' He thought, and was somewhat...Attractive
He smiled back at her
"Its been what, Two years Luna?" he said with a big smile, letting go of her, He then turned to katara
" My whole life, Katara, The last time i remember sayin goodbye was two years ago....I was on the docks, ship about to leave, and she came to say goodbye again" He said, stoppin to look at her, and his face tinte a light red, he gushed it away before lookin back at katara "We hugged and then the ship had left, thats all i remember, The world is much to small2 he said before smiling at the two girls.
She and he knew that wasn't what they did

'Its been what, two years Luna?' Ken had said two years was such a long time. So much had changed during that time she herself had changed, and he certainly had. She smiled at him and focused her attention back to Katara. "I'm learning the world is much smaller than I had ever thought," Luna agreed.
"So you're from the Southern Tribe?" Luna asked Katara a bit curious about her sister tribe. She had heard their sister tribe was much smaller and didn't have much of a population. Katara certainly seemed interested in her tribe as well. Perhaps they would get to visit each other's tribe some day.
Luna glanced back at Ken she still couldn't believe he was here in the same area as her. She didn't think she would have seen him again...at least not for many years. She refocused her attention on Katara awaiting her response.

Katara’s eyes widened as she listened to Ken talk of old times with the pretty girl by her side. Her lips rose upward and her cerulean eyes glistened as she watched the bold water bender turn a bit pink. ‘Hmmm wonder what’s up with these two?’ she pondered. ’ SOOOoooo!! The grew up together !' “Wow! Really! You two grew up together ?Then there has to be quite a few stories you guys can tell me about the Northern tribes.” '...and about why Ken keeps looking at Luna like that..' Standing back a bit, she listened as the friends became reacquainted. “Sometimes it’s nice to find old friends along the way…or make new ones.” Katara added with a bright smile.
The brunette shifted her berry bag to her other hand and tucked a wayward strand of hair behind her ear at Luna's inquery, “Yes my brother and I are from the Southern water tribe. Many of our people were..killed or taken away by the fire nation so.... unfortunately there aren’t that many living there anymore.” There was a long uncomfortable pause as she thought back on the loss of her mother and the others who’d died during that attack when she was eight.
“Actually, I’m kinda hungry. Why don’t you come back to camp with us and have something to eat? Maybe Sokka was lucky enough to catch us something to go with these berries and the apples Ken found.” Katara gave a small giggle as Momo snatched one from the unsuspecting boy’s bag. “THAT by the way... is Momo! “

Soooo maybe his little hunting expedition turned into a lets go find out what that shadow is in the water expedition. Probably not one of the best things he had done as the boy was soaking wet with a long face. A brown leather bag was being toted in his left hand with his trusty boomerang in his right. At least he was able to catch a little bit of food so not to disappoint his sister, however he had more if it wasn't for jumbo fish. Grumbling lowly to himself, Sokka trudged through the slightly dense forestry with the occasionally annoying twigs and branches that just wouldn't bend. He soon found himself sputtering dirt as he had tripped over a tree root protruding from the ground. Blinking his eyes for a moment he pushed himself upwards and brushed himself off. "And I thought being here would mean rocks, rocks, and even more rocks." He grumbled to himself more before finally pushing through another set of bushes hearing voices. Creeping out from behind a bush, his crystal eyes soon squinted as seeing Momo jumped around and about as usual.
"You!" Sokka stumbled out of the bushes at Momo's startled glance and began to run and hop away. "You were supposed to be helping me with the fish...but Noooo, you decide 'Oh let Sokka find and pull up that big catch all by himself'." Sokka continued running around in circles after Momo as the little creature finally jumped up on to a familiar face's shoulder. Stopping abruptly in his chase, he met the eyes of his little sister. "Oh hi there Katara." Sokka raised one hand in a slight wave while wiping the disgruntled face away with a smile. Glancing over he noticed two more people who seemed to be wearing similar clothing that he indeed recognized. "And what might you two be doing here?" He paused for a moment. "Well I know you." He pointed at Ken before glancing back to the girl with him.The curious boy wandered over investigating the girl. His eyes soon noticed the small berries in hand and realized she was probably foraging along with his sister who they must have run into.
Blinking his eyes as he zoomed in to look at the berries, he opened his mouth again. "Berries huh? Well I have some real food right here!" Raising his arm with the leather bag in hand, he felt proud of its contents. A few fish...although he would've had a big catch if Momo hadn't abandoned him. "It might not be as much as we would've had..." Sokka glared at Momo for a moment. "Buuut...It'll do." A big grin crossed his face at the thought of fish meat on a stick. Oh what a treat. Not some berries or rice. It was...well meat!

'You guys can tell me about the Northern tribes,' Katara said interested in her tribe. "Well recently the tribe hasn't been that interesting..." It really hadn't she was being forced to get married and so she ran. She liked when she was younger when she and Ken would just goof off all day. Even though they had things they had to do they would find time to be kids and have fun. Maybe things would be more interesting and fun since Ken was around again.
'My brother and I are from the Southern water tribe. Many of our people were..killed or taken away by the fire nation so.... unfortunately there aren’t that many living there anymore,' There was a pause after Katara said that. The Fire Nation hadn't attacked the North Pole in eighty-five years so she had no clue what it would be like to have an attack. She didn't say anything not sure what to say about an attack as she had never really been in one.
'Why don’t you come back to camp with us,' Katara suggested and Luna smiled brightly. "I would love to!" Luna looked at both Katara and Ken when she said this. Luna saw a lemur 'THAT by the way... is Momo!' so that's the creature she had mentioned earlier. He was cute and sneaky!
Luna saw a Water Tribe boy stumble out of the bushes and he began to chase Momo. The lemur was just running around circles evading the boy. When Momo landed on Katara's shoulder the boy stopped. 'Oh hi there Katara,' maybe this was Katara's brother she had mentioned him before, but never said a name.
'And what might you two be doing here?' The boy had asked he knew Ken which she figured he would if he was Katara's brother. 'Berries huh?' Luna nodded her head as she looked at her hand she had very few berries not enough for even one meal. Well I have some real food right here!' Luna looked at the bag and could smell the fish from here she smiled at the boy. 'You were supposed to be helping me with the fish...but Noooo, you decide 'Oh let Sokka find and pull up that big catch all by himself'' She wonder how an animal could help catch fish, but shrugged it off. Maybe he just liked the company it was funny to see him chase Momo around the camp.

Ken just nodded at most of it, too busy looking at what the rat momo had as a necklace
"Hey sokka.." he trailed off, still staring at momo, he then shook his head lightly, and lookd towards sokka, he peeked his hand ijnside the bag, moving it slightly to look inside
"You could have could, bigger fish....Their minnows......." Ken said stoicly, he then sighed, this was too much to take within the space of a few minutes. shock, too much emotion, he dissapeared throuh the bushes, on th sort of lae there was, he walked out on the water, shaking slightly, the rippling through the water, when he as in the middle, he drew up one hand, and the other in a flat palm in a diagonal postition, he then shakily drew up balls of water from the lake, each containing fish, but he was shaking, oddly enough, he picked a few large fish, and then walked back out, and through the bushes, fish following suit, he then 'split' the balls open, and they flew into sokka's bag, he thn dispered the water
"I Need some time, Alone." he said in a toneless voice, hugging Luna
"Dont' take this the wrong way luna, i just need some time." he said, before dissapearing through the forest clearing
"I'l see you all at camp later." Ken said, flashing a fake smile back at them
Once he felt he had gone far enough, he dropped on rock, sitting on the ground, leaning against it
'it's been way too long, Too much for me to take' he thought, lookin downat his hands, shaking

She watched Ken with much interest. He was shaking when he used his waterbending, she was concerned as she watched him. She had always been amazed at his waterbending and always wanted to learn how to really use waterbending. But it was forbidden for her in the Northern Water Tribe.
She had stoled a few waterbending scrolls just the basics to teach herself so she could defend herself in the Earth Kingdom. She knew it would be unsafe if she didn't know any self defense. She learned quickly, but there was no way to learn anymore without more scrolls or a master. She would probably never be a master because she was a girl. She still knew little so little in combat waterbending, but she was a great healer she learned very quickly. She wonder briefly if Katara was a waterbender or her brother she now knew his name, Sokka.
'I need some time, alone,' Ken's voice was toneless as he hugged her. She frowned when she heard his voice, but hugged him back. She was quickly concerned about him and pulled away from the hug.
'Dont' take this the wrong way Luna, i just need some time,' she nodded her head and tried to smile a little as she watched him leave the forest. 'I'll see you all at camp later,' He said with a fake smile, she knew him too well to know it was fake. Even if it had been a couple of years they had been close. She tried smiled a bit more as he left. She turned to Katara and Sokka.

Grinning back at the other girl, Katara gave a short chuckle. “Oh..it may seem boring to you because you lived there but..my brother and I have only heard stories. Ken has taught me a few great bending moves but ..come to think of it…he’s been a bit mum about what it was like growing up there. “
The brunette was about to ask Ken to help with showing Luna where the camp was when her brother popped out form behind a nearby bush, rushing after their notorious lemur friend. “Sokka!!?” she called out in surprise. Seconds after he tried to make a grab for Momo, the creature crawled on top of her shoulder and began taunting the warrior with sharp shreaching noises. A few random drips of water from his pony tail hit her face and the Karara had to fight to keep from laughing.
“SOOOoooo Sokka. I thought you were fishing?” she asked her eyes sparkling with humor. "Looks like one of those nasty tunaseals pulled you in!!" Instead of answering her, he turned to greet her two companions. Sokka then proudly opened his bag so they could see the small fish within. But it was the look on the water bender's face that drew most of her attention. Katara was a bit surprised to see Ken’s sudden change in disposition. While moments ago, the young water bender had been excited and pleased to see Luna, now he looked somewhat somber as he slunk away.
Katara could see the look of disappointment on her brother's face as he looked down at the tiny fish he'd caught and which Ken had just referred to as minnows. She peeked in the bag and meeting her brother’s gaze added, “But their really cute guppies Sokka!” "Sokka this Luna. She’s an old friend of Ken’s from the Northern Water tribes. Luna this is my older brother Sokka.” She’d just finished the introduction when Ken reappeared followed by bubbles of water holding fish. The water bending young man quickly deposited the huge fish into Sokka’s bag and then, giving Luna a small hug, mumbled that he needed some time alone. Katara instantly frowned at seeing her once bright friend so forlorn. ‘What could have happened? ‘ she thought and turned to follow when Sokka grabbed her arm and furvently shook his head.
Sighing and giving a glance to where her ‘bending teacher’ had hastily hustled away, she nodded and gave Luna a small smile. "Well thanks to Ken…and Sokka, it looks like we’ll have a really nice meal after all!!” Placing her arm through Luna’s, she grinned. “Wait until you meet our friend Aang! Oh ..and his bison friend Appa! He’s HUGE! Isn’t he Sokka?”
