How did you find us?: I'm already here ^^ Kyakou!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Is He/She a Canon?: Yes
Nationality: Southern Water Tribes
Location: Earth Kingdom
Alliance: Team Avatar!!!
Is He/She a Bender?: No
Character's Name: Sokka
Gender: Male
Age: 15
Height: 5'5"
Appearance:
The teenage boy from the Southern Water Tribes sports a slightly tan complexion along with a rather slim body as well. Sokka is only a tad taller than his sister, however they both still have a bit of growing to do. His ocean blue eyes shine with resourcefulness and determination. His head which is shaved for the most part contains a bushel of brown hair tied up like a short ponytail.
For much of his life, Sokka had adorned traditional Water Tribe clothing such as the blue Parka with fur lining. Underneath this coat is the normal attire. This is a light blue vest-like top along with a pair of dark blue pants. Sokka is accustom to wearing brown boots while he had been living in the Water Tribes as well.
History:
Sokka was brought up with his little sister named Katara who is a year younger than him. He has always been protective for his younger sister and only wants to see the best for her even though he may not show it all the time with his teases and jokes. A boomerang given to him by his father is one of his most cherished possessions as he always wanted to be a warrior since bending was always out of tune for him. He could not harness the ability like his sister.
It was at the age of only nine years that Sokka and his younger sister would truly feel the pain that the war had brought to them finally. He tried so hard to be just like his father, however it just didn't happen that day. It is something that will live with him and perhaps haunt him for the rest of his life. It may not have been his fault, however he consistently blames himself for the loss of their mother during a Fire Nation raid on their Tribe.
After that day, his little sister wasn't so little anymore, or she didn't act like it. Katara seemed to understand the need to fill in for their loss they had just experienced and took up an incredible amount of work and chores for the family. Day by day Sokka tried to become a better warrior so he could prevent such a tragedy from happening again. He promised himself that he wouldn't let anything happen to Katara.
A few years later, Sokka and Katara left on their own for a small fishing expedition of their own. It was only while wandering amongst the frozen water and ice that they found something peculiar trapped in ice and snow. Come to find out to much of their disbelief after freeing the boy, he was the long lost Avatar. Sokka and Katara now accompany their new found friend in an attempt to stop the Fire Lord from his plans of destroying the world.
Inventory: Boomerang
Personality:
Sokka is an easy going teenage boy who consistently tries to make light of even the most serious situations. It may be an attempt to hide the sorrow of the loss of his mother and keep it behind him. Although one wouldn't be able to tell anyways due to his constant and rather random behavior.
Without the ability to bend, Sokka prides himself in his ability of being brilliant and sharp at times. He works on the go with what he has, however the fact that he is able to turn a grim situation upside is an amazing feat. You could say he is a bit of a genius...in an inventor's mindset.
Ever since their Mother had been taken from them, Sokka has long held a grudge against the 'enemy' that is the Fire Nation. He wishes for nothing but revenge against the Fire Nation for what they did to their people.
Aside from his cleverness and sometimes 'genius' moments, Sokka can be quite clumsy, bold, rash, and out right just spontaneous. This has often a time got him into trouble or a situation that may have been better if he would've taken the time to think it out properly. This is a trait his sister holds more than he does.
Strengths:
Sokka is a quick-witted and clever boy who can get out of nearly any situation no matter what the tools at hand are. Although his plans and ideas may be a bit crazy, sometimes being crazy is just what you need to catch your enemy off guard.
He also prides himself in being cheerful all the time and a bit less serious compared to his younger sister. Its rather funny how he is the older of the two, yet acts more childish at times.
Weaknesses:
Perhaps one of Sokka's biggest weaknesses is the inability to let go of what happened in the past. Albeit he is still angry, the grudge he holds probably will not go away unless a drastic change happens in his life.
Being rash and charging into some situations head on without thinking it through is also something Sokka has a problem with. Sometimes when getting into trouble he must also think of a way out of it just as quick.
Sample Roleplay: (NOT REQUIRED FOR SECOND CHARACTERS)
I thought I'd do one for the sake of being a canon character.
The teenage boy slumped against a large rock as sweat dripped down his face. With his trusty boomerang in one hand, he rotated the beautiful piece of hard work around as the sun glinted off its shiny surface. So fard he had only been able to be the brains behind everything while Aang and Katara fought. He tried many times, although it ended up that he either wound them all in more trouble. Heaving a sigh, Sokka scratched his shaved head for a moment.
"You know Boomie, maybe all this work will pay off eventually." Sokka twirled the boomerang in his hand for a moment before swiftly twirling it back underneath the sash at his waist. He had trained all day alone while Katara and Aang had worked back at the camp. Moving all the time, they did need food. Glancing over to the makeshift bag that his younger sister had made out of nearby materials, his nostrils smelled the fish which were still slightly fresh, however were starting to smell. "Wooo...I should probably get those back before they get up and bury me." He muttered slinging the bag around his shoulder and heading off back in the direction of their encampment.
