[OOC: This is continued from Lab Rats ]
Lei stood anxiously pacing bak and forth wondering what this supposed 'doctor' wanted with her and the others. She'd asked him outright but has merely gained a glare and an order to silence. Frustrated and anxious, she turned about and made her way over to stand by the small window while the others surged to the bars in hopeful acceptance of their lot. The earth bender looked intently out the barred window and her honey eyes glinted brightly at the sight before her. It was neither the orange-red sun sinking below the horizon with its striking streaks of color across the sky nor was it the sparrowhawk swooping hastily past. No..it was simply the rather mundane gray and white granite that she saw on the exterior wall across from their present abode which brought the slightest of smiles to her lips.
The chocolate haired woman, with a swift and focused goal, reached out the window to touch the stone just below the sill. In an instant, the metal grate shook and fell onto the cell floor while rock crumbled about it. She held tight to the remains of the wall and focused her gaze on the incoming tide as it pounded against the rocky cliff facing hundreds of feet below. Cutting a glance at the young man who previously told her of his wish to remain unnoticed by their jailer, she said a bit sharply, “We can escape now or die at his hands ..perhaps not today but most certainly in a way I don’t even wish to think on. As far as I am concerned, I’ll choose my own fate before handing it to the likes of any Fire bender!”
Lei glared back through the bars as the guards rushed to open the iron door. With a quick flick of her hand, the bender swept up small stones and dust which she sent into the locking mechanism. Turning her wrist, the grit and sand solidified. No matter how hard the doctor’s henchmen prodded, the key could not fit within the latch. Growling and snarling, one sent a fire ball directly at her but Lei pulled the rubble up before her into a shield. “Thanks but no thanks , Doctor.” she murmured with a sarcastic smile.
“Coming?” she asked the others before sweeping out the hole and touching the outer surface of the wall to make foot holds for them to use for theit decent.
