Jin was still wondering the woods and she had come to a revelation. She, Jin Kazana, was very, very lost. The trees seemed to get closer and closer together as she traveled on, it meant she was getting in the heart of the forest, not good there was no telling what kind of animals roamed this area.
When the jade colored light began to fade she climbed up one of the many trees until she could see over the canopy. She could see trees, more trees, and then finally in the fading light she saw it. Smoke from a village, she could get there tommorow. As Jin started to crawl back down she heard at least one voice nearby. Almost silently she hid amongst the branches waiting to see who, or what, would appear.

(I hope I'm not too late in this one.)
“Ow! Ah...”
Souno stopped walking and looked down at arm where a branch had torn the skin. That’s gonna leave a mark, she thought. She looked up in an attempt to note the sky’s color past the trees’ branches. I wish I knew what time it was.
She sat down under a nearby tree and sighed. She never thought it would take her this long to get to a clearing much less the next village. Rather than let the moon catch her, she got back on her feet and took a few steps ahead of her. Then she closed her eyes, taking heed to the feeling that at least something was watching her. If it talks, it’s a person. If it doesn’t, a smirk came across her face, it's dinner.
“You can come out now,” she called. She brought her sword to the front of her and unsheathed it partially, just in case she needed to "catch" her nonhuman meal.

Jin mentally groaned and paused. The voice was female, slightly older than her and more than likely Fire Nation. To take chances or not to take chances. That was the question and the answer was," I don't think so, I'm quite happy where I am. Thank you."
Jin tensed she was probably about to have to run and in these trees she'd be lucky to make it half way to the distant village with out tripping or passing out. Joy.

Hearing the younger girl's voice, she sheathed her blade, placed it on her back once more and opened her eyes, disappointed. So much for a quick meal, she thought. "Suit yourself," she called back. She again looked up at the sky and turned to where she heard the teen’s voice, “Is there any reason you were spying on me earlier?” She clutched her stomach, finally feeling the consequences of skipping a meal. She looked back up in the mystery girl’s direction, “Forget it. I’m going to get some food for the night. Are you hungry?”
Her stomach wouldn’t let her wait for an answer. She took her sword and sliced several nearby branches. She placed the brush where she once stood and rushed off. “If you can, make a fire. I’ll be back with food for both of us,” she called back.
Deep down, she wasn’t expecting the mystery girl to stay.

"I wasn't spying. I was making sure you were human. Mostly."
Jin appeared from around her tree quietly as the other older woman began to walk off. She lightly lit the brush with her bending. "If you can find anything edible you deserve a reward."

She left a few clues to help her return to the small clearing: a few broken branches, sword marks on the tree bark. Deeper in the forest, finally finding a small area with at least some sound unaffected by the breeze, she closed her eyes and listened closely to each sound, pinpointing its source. The sound of two night birds sparked her interest. Those two will suffice.
As she traveled back on the road she set, an increasing red glow helped bring her closer to the small camp. She smiled slightly. It seems she was able to make the fire, she thought warmly. She looked at the moderately sized birds in each hand, finally doubting her decision to cease hunting. I hope this is enough to keep us for the night. She walked closer to the fire and looked in the young lady’s direction. “Thank you,” she gave a warm smile. She sat near the fire and proceeded to pluck her freshly caught foul. “I hope this will be enough,” she said to the girl, “they were the largest creatures I could find at the moment.” She smiled. “It’s a shame. I’ve always known the Earth Kingdom to have many animals in its forests. My parents always prepared a large meal for us every night…” her voice trailed off, and her smile faded. She continued to tend to their meals. She looked up to her companion, “Would you like to help? It would help the time pass by quickly.”

Jin rose to help the older woman quietly," This area of the Earth Kindom isn't plentiful on much but trees." She said calmly," A few villages, maybe, mostly trees and the animals that like much less light. Even most night animals aren't as plentiful for some odd reason."
Jin kept a quite eye on her fire knowing it wasn't likely to burn out. "Where are you headed stranger?" She asked sounding somewhat like a country bumpkin, on purpose of course.

(sorry I'm late)
She gave a slight grimace, “That’s a shame.” She handed one of the birds to her companion. “It’s a good thing there are villages nearby.” She smirked slightly from the young lady’s question. “Nowhere… I’m just passing through.” She noticed the girl’s concentration on the fire, a familiar stare peculiar only to firebenders. “You know this place well, for a fellow fire bender.” She looked down to further tend to her task. “Don’t worry about the fire. I’ll be sure to keep it going... Where are you from? I didn’t quite catch your name either.” She waited calmly for the young lady’s response.
