. . . and you can hear the voices of the wind.Chantrea had done her best to keep from standing out. Though with the clothing she currently had, it was hard to match her in with the rest of the crowd. While the rest of the citizens all seemed to be wearing the traditional robes of green and beige, Chantrea had put together the neutral pastels of cream, charcoal, white cocoa and blood red. She didn’t have her pack with her, the black would have stood out against the back of her cream top far too much. Attached at her hip, curved to fit under her belt around her firm hips, was an instrument of unique design.
Brushing the shades of silver and moon from her eyes, Chantrea placed both hands on her hips as she stared ahead, watching a few children run back and forth, trying to catch each other then run again. Her brows furrowed. She’d missed out on all of that. She’d spent her childhood (and most of her teenage life, for that matter) in the Spirit Realm, with the figures that most people ignored. She also apparently was missing out on the joke.
People were staring. Was it her face? She was a fairly pretty girl, if not plain. She wore no makeup. Her cheeks were a healthy, flushed pink at the apples, and her nose was petite, centered nicely. Her eyes were more almost in shape, framed by long, thick ebony lashes (though her hair was the exact opposite), and her lips had a natural sheen to them that made them look somewhat glossy and fuller than they actually were. It must have been her eyes. Her eyes were the most unique thing about her, next to her fashion sense. They were the color of dulled pearls, a tint of the icy tundra she’d been born to. Her feminine brows furrowed in confusion. She wasn’t a freak; people shouldn’t have been staring at her that way.
The creamy ivory of her top was held closed by a zipper just a few shades darker, hidden under a flap of warm cotton. The flap was then disguised by three thin ribbon bows the same shade as the neck lining, which was triangle in the front, but closed with neutral khaki cotton. The sleeves were long and the ends were comfortably nestled over her palms and smooth skin of the top. It was embroidered on the peak of the hems with dark the shade of cocoa stitching. The white beaded drape of her belt fell from right below her navel to her lower thigh, just above her knee. It had been made in the Northern Water Tribe, though not out of ice. The deep, bold red of the tight skirt wrapped around her wide hips and the tan bamboo chutes of her pan flute held together by hard leather was snug against her pelvic, standing sharply against the blood red. Beneath the short skirt (it ended barely at her upper-upper thighs) was a pair of cool (as in cold to the touch) black silk pants that hugged her hips, thighs, but stretched easily at the knees and flared out after the joints. The ends were embroidered in dulled thread dyed in animal blood. Her shoes were practical. They reached her upper shins, the leather black on the outside, but red on the inner curves. They had, like all her other shoes, were lightly wedged to give her a boost of height.
On top of her head sat a milky chocolate colored cap made of soft, flexible leather. It hid most of her hair, piled inside with her frayed bangs and locks of hair falling out the frontal sides.
Her shoes tapped silently among the crowd Chantrea was walking through. She was headed towards the outskirts of town, out the back way, where there were trees of deep emerald and fired amber. A dirt path would lead from Gaoling to Omashu, lined by tall, natural crops of fresh wheat and a tranquil river basked in the setting light of the sun, giving the normally sapphire water the appearance of cooling liquid gold, glossy and almost dream like.
Around her, the air sparkled with unseen spiritual energy. A thin layer of ice marked her steps, melting quickly as she moved on. Up ahead, she noticed a group of children, several of which she’d met earlier, and pulled her pan flute from her hip as she approached. She knew they would ask her to play for them. She would gladly oblige, starting to play a smooth continuous tune that could have been mistaken as the voices of the wind singing a mournful lullaby.

The city of Omashu, one of Taye's Favorite citys. He always loved coming here whenever he could, just about the only earth kingdom city he would visit. Otherwise he would spend his days camping out in the wilderness. He had his black outfit on, though a cloak wrapped around him. The Hood pushed up over his head, shadows reaching down his face concealing it within his hood. His blue eyes, dull as if they weren't the color of Blue at all. He had been pushed into a realyl bad mood lately, almost being caught in the Capitol of the Fire Nation. And then having to travel with Pirates just to reach the Earth Kingdom Shore's.
He needed something to calm him, something to make him happy even if for a few moments. Soon though he would hear the faint sound of a flute playing.. Or at least it sounded like a flute. He looked around trying to find the source of the sound, though the city was too crowded he couldnt pin point the exact location. He just began to follow the music, eventually the music began to get louder.... louder.. untill finally he came upon a bunch of kids, and one young woman playing a flute. Though he had been, Focused on finding the source of the sound. He had no clue he left the city of Omashu on a path leading straight to them. He looked around noticing he was decently far from the city itself. Shrugging it off, he leaned against a tree just listening to the music.
The Soothing sounds calmed him down, his blue eyes returning to their normal glow. He watched as the kids sat and enjoyed the soothing sound of her music, he was surprized though. He never met someone who could calm him down with music. [[sorry not as good as your post but i hope u can work with that lol ]]

Slowly, the parents gathered their children as she concluded the gentle song with a low, quiet note. She hadn’t played that song in a while. Though some children remained, anxiously awaiting another song, they were tired, their eyes drooping often. They jerked themselves awake whenever this happened however, but eventually the warm golden sun and the lulling tune had them all silently snoring. Almost regretfully, Chantrea slid the pan flute away.
She watched the children as their parents picked them up and carried them home. Humming to herself, the youthful waterbender turned to continue on her way to Omashu. Her bag was already there, she’d just headed to Gaoling to look for something. What she’d looked for, she didn’t know. Perhaps it was just this path. An option. Something she would desperately need in the future. Her brows furrowed and she brushed the locks of hair from her eyes yet again.
Chantrea had been a seer for as long as she could remember. As far as she knew, she was the only one in the world who could see into the future at will. Frustrated, she sighed and the water of the lake rippled like the land had just flexed under it. But it hadn’t. Looking out over the gold stained water, Chantrea noticed a bright streak of red and white flash over it. Her eyes widened and she looked up at the sky. She had no clue what it had been. A bad sign, she was sure. A light breeze had her cap slip from her head and her hair fall to her waist for a few moments before she grabbed her hat out of the air and started forcing her hair back into it, keeping the cap on tight this time. Looking at the line of trees, she paused.
Who was he? Chantrea’s silver clashed in a fierce battle with his sapphire. Her head tilted a bit, and she held the gaze, her eyes wide a bit. [Omg, that has to be the crappiest post I've written on the site so far. Sorry for the lameness!]

Taye watched as parents began to gather up their children, though it was nice to see that some of them wanted to hear more. He also wanted to hear more, though he would not bother her. Though he remained leaning against the tree, his eyes had ventured up towards the sky, gazing up at it for what seemed a few moments before looking over towards her. Their eyes meeting, he was looking at her... He couldnt look away for some reason.
Even though he wanted to know who she was, he probally couldnt even move from that spot. He felt as if he was frozen in his tracks when she was looking at him. Finally he managed to gain some composure. Standing up straight he made his way slowly over to her, leaning against the closest tree near her.
[glow=red,2,300]"That was a... very... Calming to say the least.." [/glow]
He said quietly, though he didnt even know he was talking at a low tone. Maybe it was due to the song? He was beginning to get tired, trying not to yawn. He ended up yawning lightly anyway, he couldnt help it. He was attempting to think of something to say but couldnt. Though finally only saying the one thing he could
[glow=red,2,300]"Umm.. I should go.."[/glow]
He said, before turning around and beginning to walk slowly away.

Chantrea watched him for a long moment before smiling softly. A soft giggle escaped her lips and she raised a delicate hand to her full lips to hide the smile. It wasn't often someone was lost for words around her. She liked to think it was from her skill in playing the wind instrument. She was far too shy to believe it was her own looks that made others stare and practically blush with speechlessness. It was. . . unnerving.
Chantrea pulled the unique flute out again and blushed lightly. "Thanks. I'm heading to Omashu, if you'd like to join me." He seemed to be heading in that direction anyway. Placing the flute to her lips again, she began to play again, a different song.

He stopped for a moment looking up at the sky, it was true he was headed towards Omashu. Though he didnt know wether he was speechless due to her playing or that she was just beautiful, though hearing her begin to play her next song. He smiled lightly and nodded, Waiting for her he walked next to her heading towards Omashu. Looking around as a few little kids excitedly followed. The song began to sooth him once more, looking over at her. He offered a faint smile, he had never seen a woman with silver hair and eyes. Though he thought she was beautiful he would probally never admit it. Actually, he would probally not even see her again after Omashu. She was probally headed in a different direction than him after omashu anyway.
He sighed lightly, listening to the song as they walked. Though as soon as it was over he smiled looking over at her.
[glow=red,2,300]You have a talent for playing music.. and, soothing people. Yet, so beautiful.[/glow]
He said, no longer entranced by her from the first time. He could now speak properly, hopefully that is. He was hoping he wasnt making a fool out of himself

Chantrea looked back at the kids and shook her head lightly. Their parents wouldn’t be pleased if they followed her to Omashu. Arching a brow, the girl looked forward again as the kids pouted and stopped following them. While she was oblivious to his inner conflicting thoughts, she was concentrating more on the tune she was playing and the image she’d seen in the still water only minutes before.
You have a talent for playing music.. and soothing people. Yet, so beautiful. She’d never really accepted compliments, but she couldn’t deny his claim because she was busy with the instrument. Chantrea tilted the holes closer to her mouth to reach the higher notes, her eyes half closed. The song seemed to end too soon and she just held the flute in her hands, thinking.
“Thank you.” She wasn’t sure what else to say. She tended to avoid conversations, but this wasn’t so bad. “I’m Chantrea.”

Taye smiled as he looked over at her, he usually kept away from groups. Not wanting to get into much trouble, you could probally consider him to be a rogue. But he also loves his home and would defend it with his life.
[glow=red,2,300]"Hmm.. Chantrea, a beautiful name. I am Taye."[/glow]
Though, he began to get the feeling he heard the name from somewhere. He didnt know why but he thought he even knew her maybe... There was something familiar about her but also something that drew him to her, it wasnt the flute playing. She was a beautiful girl, though maybe it was just a simple crush. That would pass with the time that they both part ways. Though when he parts he will be heading back to the villages that were controlled by Fire Nation soldiers. He loved to stir things up in the towns even liberate the village itself. Looking at her once more, though only for a few seconds before his gaze ventured back towards the sky.

Taye. That sounded vaguely familiar. She remembered her brief childhood in the Northern Water Tribe. Her brows furrowed. It couldn't be him. He was so much shorter then! She didn't allow herself to dwell on it, instead she sighed softly.
"Nice name. I'm going to go out on a limb here and say you're an Earth Bender." Each bender has a different aura, which Chantrea saw in each person. A normal person had a blank aura. He had a greenish, brown aura, which represented earth. Her aura was a misty silver, blue tinted.

He didnt have a good enough memory to figure out that it was someone he had met in his childhood in the northren water tribe. Though he still thought her name was familiar but saying nothing. The Omash Gate's were not far off, looking over at her.
[glow=red,2,300]"Where are you headed after you get inside? Well if you dont mind me asking."[/glow]
He said, before his eyes ventured back towards the sky. He enjoyed watching the sky alot, it was one of his favorite pass times. Also watching the night sky was what he loved to do aswell, the star's would sparkle. His eyes would shine under the star and moon light. His eyes venturing back down to look at her
[glow=red,2,300]"Indeed i am... I grew up in the Northren Water tribe though.. So my practicing was limited to the Caves outside of the citywalls."[/glow]
He said
[glow=red,2,300]"And what about you? You seem to be very talented at playing music. Are you some type of bender?"[/glow]
He asked curiously, though his eyes now traveled to look at the ground as they walked.

Chantrea looked over at him for a split second when he said he was from the Northern Water Tribe. She knew now where she’d seen him before. She kept her mouth shut, if he really wanted to remember, he would have already. She listened to him speak in silence. Well, as silent as it could be. The water was starting to move around on it’s own and reflect the sun back at itself. The water was so clear up close, you could see all the way to the bottom without much trouble at all.
Chantrea knew of the caves he was speaking of. She nodded at his words, keeping her eyes ahead. Her heart was slowing from the initial shock of meeting someone else from so far up North. Though she’d been born in the Southern Water Tribe, she spent most of her time in the Northern nation than in her birthplace. “I’m a Waterbender. I was born in the Southern Tribe, but I was raised in the Northern. So I know the caves that you speak of, I’ve been there on occasion.” To prove her words, she raised a hand in a graceful sweeping motion and a large, thick strand of water from the lake raised with it and wrapped around her hand, freezing over to create an ice glove.

He looked over at her surprized, he now knew where he had known her from. Though he didnt really know her all that much, he would talk to her here and there.. But then she just suddenly disappeared. He sighed for a moment
[glow=red,2,300]"So thats where i know you from, i thought i knew you from somewhere.. Just couldnt remember."[/glow]
He looked down at the ground, not really looking at her now. All he could really remember was being around the northren tribe and talking to many people. Though she for some reason stood out due to her silver hair and eyes.
[glow=red,2,300]"Where did you disappear to for so long? I mean we were little kids and you disappeared... you had almost everyone looking around for you."[/glow]

Chantrea was silent. She didn't want to remember that day. The ice melted and flowed smoothly back into the body of water without a sound. She sighed. Her gray eyes faltered and she looked away.
"My father killed my mother in front of me. I ran away and somehow I got into the Spirit Realm."

He looked over and frowned slightly, he didnt know the full story. He was regretting having asked that question.
[glow=red,2,300]"Im Sorry... i didnt know"[/glow]
He said, in a low tone. Sighing though they had finally reached the gate's Of Omashu, walking up to two guards. He smiled and nodded, both of them nodding before stomping their foots on the ground to open the door. The door slid open rather quickly, walking next to her still as they walked through the gates. Looking around the city was packed still, looking at her for a second.
[glow=red,2,300]"Well... if you dont have anything to do later would you join me for some dinner ?"[/glow]
He asked, as he turned to face her.

Chantrea felt her heart quicken at his question. It put her in an awkward position. She suddenly felt nervous and her pace slowed a bit as they walked through the gates of Omashu. Now that they were there, she could grab her bag from the inn she'd booked a room at.
"I suppose. But only if I can return the favor to you by getting you some new clothes. No offense, but those clothes are. . ." She trailed off, not really needing to finish. "The coat is nice but the rest is really dirty."
