-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Is He/She a Canon?: No
Nationality: Northern Water Tribe
Location: Earth Kingdon
Alliance: Earth Kingdom, His Family
Is He/She a Bender?: Yes, water
Character's Name: Lo
Gender: Male
Age: 19
Height: 6' 2"
Appearance: He has sharp bone structure, and a thin face, while still maintaining a childlike and playful appearance. He is tanned, but not brown. He is about 6' 2" at 148 lb. He thin and not so muscular looking, but strong. His eyes are brown, along with his hair. His hair is medium length, just barely covering his ears. He keeps it, or should I say doesn’t keep it, in a tangled mess most of the time, letting it sort of fall over his eyes. It doesn’t seem to bother him. His clothes are that of a normal Northern Water Tribe soldier, though his position is higher. His biggest distinguishable feature, though, is the grin that seems to constantly be on his face.
History: Lo was born into a well off family that had powerful connections. His mother’s brother married the sister of the Northern Water Tribe Chief. While he was growing up he only played with his cousins, many much older or much younger than him, all except for one. Her name is Tesude. She is only four months older than Lo. While they were growing up, he would always get her into trouble by making her go on adventures with him. They were very troublesome together, and they loved every minute of it. When his little brother was born, he reacted very positively and has always played with his brother whenever he asked. He loves his parents, though his father wanted only for him to be a great general or bender, but Lo was really only worried about being happy in the future. His mother always completely supported him in his endeavors. His aunt and uncle taught him everything he knows about bending, and he has always enjoyed it with them. His aunt taught him about healing, her having the power herself, and his uncle taught him how to fight, along with many of the principles of water bending and fighting.
All through his life, he had never really had to go through any hardships, until the day his cousin told him that she had decided to be an ambassador to the Earth Kingdom. At first he was shocked and sad that she would have to travel a lot and possibly be in danger. After a lot of thought, though, he came up with a resolution. With the help of his mother and his family political sway, he was able to get a job protecting his cousin. They were both happy at this, and ready to go on many new adventures.
Almost immediately after he signed on as a guard, they were sent to talk to the Earth Kingdom King about some Fire Nation problems. To accompany them was another diplomat much their elder. As they were in the ocean, they came upon a terrible storm. As Lo was trying to save some gear that was not tied down, he got knocked unconscious and thrown off the boat. Somehow, he managed to survive, but he is now washed ashore in an unknown land.
Inventory: His clothes, a low quality sword, and a Water tribe club from his parents.
Personality: He is a naturally happy person, but also kind of socially awkward. He tries hard to make friends, but he tends to say or ask too much or too little. His only friends are his close family, but he is okay with that. He is like this because his father has kept him shielded from most of the world. Though awkward, he is not shy, and although he is an adult, he acts like a child in almost every situation. He doesn’t show generic respect to most people (unless they are very important), but he does show a form of admiration in the way he often treats people, which gives the air of respect.
Though a kid at heart, he can be serious if the situation calls. His smile fades slightly and his eyes seem to grow dull, along with his personality, but he is more attentive and slightly more powerful. He doesn’t like to be serious and only does so when he loses his temper (which is not easy to do) or when he is protecting a friend, or another situation like that. Seeing as these are rare occasions, he is mostly childish, happy, and fun-loving.
Strengths: He is a Waterbender of (barely) advanced caliber. He has just started his training of advanced techniques with his Uncle, who is a waterbending master. He is also very handy with most Water Tribe weapons, especially the boomerang and the spear. He has also had some training with.
Weaknesses: He has never had many hardships in life, and is thus, pretty weak in a real fight. He will defend himself, but not at the cost of taking life. He also scares easily in combat, and prefers running away to standing up for himself, but will normally fight alongside his friends. It isn't that he's disloyal, he just aims for self preservation.
Sample Roleplay: Ow... My head is killing me Lo thinks to himself. What kinda party did I go to. Then, some memories came back. Oh yeah, I was on a boat going to the Earth Kingdom. Are we there? He felt something jab into his side. Stop it! he thought, not having strength enough to verbalize his command to whatever was doing this. Slowly, more memory crept in.
Boat.
Old man.
Stupid clouds.
Yum, Fish.
Storm...
The last thing that shot into his mind so terrifying that it made him shoot straight up until he was completely upright. His eyes open now, barely taking in the surrounding beach he was on, he stared up at the blank sky. They stung from the salty humid air that hung about on the shore. I left her alone...
For a few moments, he was truly unhappy. But of course, this only lasted a few moments. He started to assess the situation. "I'm alive," he spoke out loud this time, as if there was someone there to listen. This new revelation was enough to let him stop the crying he hadn't noticed previously. "Now all I have to do is walk to Ba Sing Se." He was much better now, almost even chipper. Everything was so simple in his head.
"Hey mister, are you dead?" Said a young voice to his left. The boy was scared and was almost crying. He noticed another boy far off on the beach, running away. He looked at the child at hand again and noticed he had a stick, obviously the instrument that was jabbing him earlier.
"No," answered Lo, grin returning to his face, "but I bet I will be soon if I don't get something to eat. Do you know where the nearest town is?" The boy pointed off in the direction of his friend. "Well, come on then." He took the frightened little boys hand. In minutes the boy was dry eyed and laughing. "Hey, does your family make good food?" Lo asked as they made there way toward the small village.
